Oddsmakers have set the total at 188.5 for Monday’s clash with Argentina, which is a close second behind the Americans in Group A with seven points. The U.S., unless it loses by at least 17 points, will open the quarterfinals Wednesday against Australia.

Back in a July 22 exhibition in Barcelona, Kevin Durant dropped 27 points to lead the USA past Argentina, 86-80. Argentina was the first country to beat a U.S. team with NBA players in the 2002 Worl
