Miami Heat (+220)
The two-time defending champion Heat head into the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the East, but are still favored to three-peat. However, a conference final Game 7 in Indiana doesn't sound as appealing.
San Antonio Spurs (+300)
The Spurs are the top team in the NBA this season and have home court advantage throughout the playoffs. Nothing would make them happier than a return trip to the Finals after being so close last year.
Oklahoma City Thunder (+400)
Kevin Durant seems like a shoe-in for the MVP, but what the Thunder would really like, is to return to the Finals after missing out in 2012.
Indiana Pacers (+800)
The Pacers struggled in the second half of the season, but did just enough down the stretch to secure the East's top seed. Something they will probably need if they play the Heat in the conference final.
Los Angeles Clippers (+1,000)
The Clippers set a franchise record for wins this year with 57 and boast the league's most potent offense at 107.9 points per game. More impressively they had the league's second highest average point differential.
Houston Rockets (+2,300)
The Rockets are the league's second highest scoring team lead by James Harden and Dwight Howard, but they also rank in the bottom third of the league in points allowed at 103.1 points per game, which is the worst of all playoff teams.
Brooklyn Nets (+4,000)
The Nets had the East's best record since Jan. 1, but lost four of their last five games, some say so they could matchup up with the Raptors. The question for the Nets will be whether they look experienced or old?
Portland Trail Blazers (+5,000)
The Blazers are actually the hottest team heading into the post season, winning nine of their last 10 games. The Blazers will go as far as LaMarcus Aldridge will take them.
Chicago Bulls (+6,000)
The Bulls own the league's best defense allowing a remarkable 91.8 points per game Not surprising for a Tom Thibodeau coach team. The problem is they also have the league's lowest scoring offense at 93.7 ppg.
Golden State Warriors (+6,000)
The Golden State Warriors won 51 games this year and have been rewarded the West's sixth seed and a first round date with division rival L.A. Clippers. Losing Andrew Bogut to a broken rib hurts their chances.
Memphis Grizzlies (+7,000)
Memphis is one of the only teams in the West who played meaningful games down the stretch. First defeating the Suns to punch their playoff ticket and second beating Dallas in OT to avoid a First Round date with the Spurs.
Toronto Raptors (+9,000)
Everyone talks about the Nets' and Bulls' second half surges, but since trading Rudy Gay, the Raptors have the best record in the East at 42-22. They also set a franchise record for wins with 48.
Dallas Mavericks (+10,000)
The Mavericks lost their season finale with the Memphis Grizzlies to set up a First Round matchup with the Spurs, who have beaten the Mavs in nine consecutive games straight up.
Washington Wizards (+12,500)
The Wizards are making their first playoff appearance since 2008 as the East's No. 5 seed, where they will face the Bulls. The Wizards went 2-1 versus Chicago this season.
Charlotte Bobcats (+20,000)
The Bobcats make just their second appearance ever in the postseason thanks a one of the top defenses in the league. Al Jefferson has been a beast for the Bobcats averaging 21.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
Atlanta Hawks (+90,000)
The Hawks have the longest consecutive playoff appearances streak in the East, making the second season eight straight years. However, the are the only team in the playoffs with a losing record, notching only 38 wins.

"glub glub glub"
After a near UNPRECEDENTED 72-30-2 (70%) Run in August, how else would you expect Ben Burns to start September?
A 3-0 SWEEP of course!
Now an AWESOME 11-1 L3 days, there's no end in sight when it comes to Burns' winning ways. He has finished "in the black" 8 of the past 9 months, generating well over $80K. Expect September to be no different.
I'm playing on ATLANTA. Cole Hamels and three Phillies relievers combined to no-hit the Braves Monday. But I see the home team bouncing back on Tuesday for the simple fact that I just don't think Philadelphia is a very good team. With Hamels out of their way, look for Atlanta to make a comeback in this series.
Tuesday's starter for the Phillies certainly isn't as strong as Hamels. Kyle Kendrick has a 5.56 road ERA and has allowed four runs in each of his last three starts. I'm really not sure how Kendrick has managed a 4-1 TSR his last five times out. But he's certainly due for a loss. Over his last nine starts overall, Kendrick's ERA is 6.55.
Only twice in his last 10 starts has Kendrick gone more than six innings. He's also had problems keeping the ball in the park. Opponents have homered against him in 8 of his last 10 starts and 11 times total.
Atlanta will go with Mike Minor, who has a 3-0 TSR his last three starts. He has a 1.66 ERA and 0.69 WHIP in them. The Braves have won all three games. While the Braves offense likely rebounds, Minor will take care of the rest. 1* free play
