Blackburn's Campbell, five others arrested for alleged match fixing

Blackburn striker D.J. Campbell is one of six men arrested amid claims that some that top games this season have been rigged, according to dailymail.co.

Police are reportedly investigating the 32-year-old Campbell's yellow card at Ipswich last week.

Others arrested are believed to be, ex-Pompey star Sam Sodje, Oldham striker Cristian Montanao, Tranmere defender Ian Goodison and Sodje's brother Akpo, who also plays for Tranmere.

Sam Sodje was allegedly filmed telling investigators he deliberately got himself sent off earlier this year in exchange for £70,000. Apparently there is bizarre footage of him punching an Oldham opponent twice in the groin.

The National Crime Agency confirmed it is investigating spot-fixing involving Football League players being paid to get yellow and red cards.
