Indians fan defies odds; catches four foul balls in one game

A baseball fan defied the odds and caught four foul balls during the Cleveland Indians’ 6-4 win over the Kansas City Royals at Progressive Field on Sunday.

The odds of this happening at a game with an attendance of 15, 431: a trillion-to-one, according to idealseatmlb.com:

Greg Van Niel, a season-ticket holder who wasn’t sitting in his usual seat, was armed with a glove and had a couple of highlight-reel catches that can be seen here.

Van Niel had never previously caught a foul ball at a professional baseball game.

Maybe he was there 4 B.P. + caught a couple be4 the game started. I only saw the last catch when he tossed that ball to a kid sitting behind him. It's great job just never saw the footage of him catching any so great job an it would of been easier when there were only 12,000 fans at the game2-3 years ago so GREAT EFFORT!!
