Where the action is: Sunday's NFL line moves

We talked to Brent, head linesman from BetDSI, about the flow of action coming in on Sunday’s NFL games.

Pittsburgh at DallasOpen: pick, Move: +1.5

Dez Bryant is likely to play despite nursing a fractured left index finger in this clash between two teams vying for a playoff spot, but that hasn’t stopped the flood of money coming in on the away team.

“Public betting has moved the Pitt line with a 2-to-1 bet count and one-sided volume,” says Brent. “The sharps haven’t gotten involved in this matchup as of yet. This may end up being a large decision game for the books.”

New York at Atlanta Open: pick, Move: -1.5

This battle between division leaders is a tough game to handicap, causing a tug of war between sharps and the betting public.

“This game has seen a public vs. sharp opinion,” says Brent. “The public has poured in bets backing the Giants. The result of those opposite opinions has created a 3-to-1 bet count in favor of the Gmen, but a contrasting 2-to-1 money position favoring the Falcons.”

San Francisco at New England Open: -3, Move: -4.5

The betting public is infatuated with the Patriots after their dominant win over the Texans last week. And who can blame them?

“The bet count on this game is currently coming in at 3-to-1 for the Pats with a lot of teasers in play for the spread on this game as well," notes Brent. “The sharps have not had much say on the side in this match up, but they did raid the total early hitting the under 48.”

I'll be going to the casino window to place my bets this morning! It's been a tough couple of weeks for me in NFL action---sometimes you have to get slapped around to wake up! :) So As I place my bets this morning this will be a wake-up call. With that said, I'm learning toward the Texan's giving -7.5 and leaning toward the Buccaneers at +3.5 Finally I like the Vikings on the road getting +3.5 today! If my luck is good today...I'll make some money! Wheeler-dealer "Over & Out"!

NYGiants at Atlanta - It's easy to understand just why many bettors like the G-Men here at Atlanta. The line is low to zero and the Giants have been historicaly good "on the road" in big games. While the Falcons have been good at home in the regular season they have failed in playoff games... and to the Giants this is just as important a game as would be a playoff game. Eli can be a dud often but has delivered in the crunch in many big games. The same can be said for the Giants defense who can step up at any time and deliver a much needed effort to help get the win. The Giants are going to need to run the ball with success and it should come vs the Falcons who are just not as good vs the run. In the passing game I like the Giants as well. The Falcons have a hobbled Rodney White who will most likely start at WR and for whatever reson Julio Jones does not produce as well at home as he does on the road. Should be plenty of points in this game but I like the Giants to get a few more big plays than the Falcons. Give me the Giants-PK at +100 in a 27-23 game.

Pit at Dallas - Look for the Steelers to rebound while Dallas has slight letdown after an emotional road win. Even with a loss on Sunday, the Cowboys could still be in the hunt for a wildcard spot considering that the Giants, Bears, Seahawks, Vikings and Redskins all have a legit shot at losing also this week. With the Bengals having won already on TNF... The Steelers know that they must keep pace or they could find themselves eliminated as early as next week should they lose again in week 16. Steelers in an entertaining game 23-21.
