Where the action is: Books expect late sharp money on Eagles

Action on the Cincinnati Bengals has moved them from 3-point road favorites to -5 for Thursday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

But while the betting public is siding with Cincinnati, one Las Vegas veteran expects wise guys to bet on the home side if the spread continues to climb.

“I think they’ll jump in later,” Jimmy Vaccaro, of William Hill Nevada, told Covers. “The money has all been on the favorite but there are some people out there who don’t trust Cincinnati. I expect to get some smart money on the dog.”

The Eagles have been the most disappointing team this season, going 4-9 (3-9-1 ATS). However, Philadelphia has shown some life in recent weeks and brings a two-game ATS run into Thursday night.

Cincinnati, on the other hand, had a four-game winning streak snapped versus Dallas at home last weekend. The Bengals are 6-6-1 ATS on the year, with a 4-2 ATS mark on the road.

As for Thursday’s total, the number opened at 46 and dropped as low as 44.5 before climbing back to 45 points. Vaccaro expects the standard betting pattern of “favorite and the over” for these standalone games this Thursday.

“It’s almost part of the equation now,” says Vaccaro. “I’m sure we’ll see that tonight. To ease the pain, we’ll need the underdog and the under.”

Not liking the line movement right now... As long as it stays at 5 or below you gotta roll with Cinci. A must win for the Bengals and overrated Foles is getting too much love after squeezing out a last second win on the leagues worst pass D.

tough spot for Cinci. close loss last week with 2 division games on the horizon. no pressure on Eagles and all the pressure on Andy D

This site's commentators (book managers) seem to try to steer readers the way they want them to go.....That said, Cincinatti wins tonight on the blitz and the law firm running for 100+ yards...

Eagles in a laugher...guaranteed. If the Bungles were any good they would not have choked against the Cowdonks.

It was a laugher alright....and the Eagles were "in it" - but not on the good end of it! go opposite of the sportsbook's comments...it works!
