The Blue Jays bats carried them to a series victory in the Bronx, putting an end to a 17 game losing streak in New York. They could get a boost tonight if Adam Lind is able to return from the DL. Lind is hitting .348 liftetime versus Clay Buchholz.
R.A. Dickey will toe the slab for the visitors, and he's coming off a win over these Red Sox in his last start. Dickey (8-10, 4.04 ERA) was knocked around pretty good in that game though, surrendering four runs on nine hits, including a home run in a 6-4 win at Rogers Center. He has had his struggles on the road this season, with a record of 2-7, 3.77 ERA.
Buchholz (5-6, 5.50 ERA) was tagged for five runs on six hits and four walks over six innings opposite Dickey last week. He's surrendered eight runs on 15 hits over 13 innings in his last two starts at Fenway. He was also rocked for five runs on nine hits in just 4 2/3 innings in his last home start versus Toronto, back in May.
The Jays seen at least eight runs scored in eight straight overall, and the total has gone over at a rate of 6-0-1 in their last seven trips to Boston.
