Pick 'n' roll: Thursday's best NBA bets

Milwaukee Bucks at Sacramento Kings (1, 185.5) odds provided by logans

The Bucks caught the Lakers in a big letdown spot and took full advantage of it.

With Milwaukee sending out just nine healthy players and the Lakers rolling along on a five-game win streak, the Bucks hit better than 50 percent of their shots from the floor for only the third time this year to drill L.A. 98-79.

The 5-foot-5 Earl Boykins canned four treys and finished with 22 points and John Salmons added 20 for the Bucks, who snapped a three-game slide.

"They usually always make a run in the fourth quarter," Boykins eloquently told the press. "We were just trying to stay in front for as long as possible. If you play with effort and belief, you can do anything."

That’s some advice the Kings could use. Sacto has dropped 14 of its last 15 straight up and five of the last six against the spread after they ran out of gas in overtime, losing 117-109 to Golden State as a 3-point favorite.

We’ll side with the Bucks here, but this is going to be ugly. Tune in to the TNT doubleheader and keep your eye on the ticker for this matchup.

Pick: Bucks

ngruven-- read your homepage statement. fantastic. yeh, i think this forum is to exchange ideas to make us all better players. no one knows it all. and four head are better than one. i will say that i am an admirer of jason richardson. i'm a warrior fan. he played for the warriors and gave his all. he's a great shooter-- streaky; not ray allen, but way better than pietrus, and much better than an over the hell vince carter. i think phoenix benefited in getting gortat and it frees dudley to score more. j-rich downside is he's a notriously weak defender.

end of a nice week with the heat money line. labon james teams beat steve nash teams. rare that a game goes so smoothly. even chicago the night before let washington believe they had a chance; chicago was down 4 at half. sacramento is in disarray. tyreke eavens looks like he found out where the crack is; he plays in a daze. missed a wide open layup when sac was down two with under a minute. san antonio was tired. don't get deluded by orlando. yeh, they are going to win games. they've got the beast, dwight howard. but hedo and gilbert are way over the hill. bank it.

hey stevebo(stevenp) and how about richardson's contribution to magic perfomance? I particulary think that's the better trade that they made at this point. he (rich) is not a star level player but, is a playmaker that could take a role play to make things happen. just to note that I always follow your comments. thanks!! (very drunk this night a 2k win fading the heat)

G'Day all and good to see you back D-Gen........I'm struggling of late so feel free to fade........going with Orlando tonight.......with ANY sort of production from ANY of their acquisitions they would have beaten Mavs convincingly.......3 from 17 and 5 fouls apiece from Arenas & Turkoglu and Richardson was just as bad until hitting a couple late.......surely they can't all be off again.......Spurs keep winning but hardly doing it in style........looking at their respective records it seems a wrong favourite and a crazy selection but I think Orlando win this one and should be worth following from here on in........my bet Magic -2.5 @ $1.95........Merry Cristmas to all and your families and of course good punting to you

the spurs are the play up to 5.5. orlando did show me something in their loss to the mavs (playing tougher than i thought). last march 17 in a similar spot, a thursday TNT game and san antonio won the night before in miami sans tony parker, orlando creamed san antonio. that probably won't happen. THAT IS WHY I'M NOT PLAYING IT. i BET the miami money line at -255. BUT NOW WADE MIGHT NOT PLAY. this is a tought night. sac's the play versus milwaukee. wouldn't touch it. NOT A LOT TO CHOOSE FROM. they're aint chicago over washington on the board. IN THE SAC GAME, they benched demarcus cousins which should be a morale booster for the kings because he's so immature. he flashes the choke sign with reggie williams at the foul line. then williams misses again and vladmir rodmonavich out battles cousins for the ball, which went off cousins out of bounds. rodmanavich promptly hits a buzzer beating three for OT. the gsw wins. total buster. yes, sac can't close. but they have the players to beat milwaukee who played out of their minds in LA. i wouldn't get caught actually betting the kings right now. they're going to start dalambert who had good games against bogut last year and carl landry. if you lay off tonight, you probably win. there are 5 million more nba games left this year.

Magic will lite it up from three tonite but spurs are better game over. Heat allow 91 per on defense and grant can't get 40 game under

the total seems too low in the bucks/kings game. 184.5? heat defense will keep the score down in that game, at least below 208.5 spurs will win against an orlando squad that is dysfunctional.

With the magic in transition and Spurs rolling I had to take Spurs +2.5. Even on a back to back and on the road (where they are stellar BTW at 9-1). Line does seem a bit fishy, but im not gonna over think this one. Show me game. Also could be a bit of a trap game for magic with Celtics in town on Xmas. I just couldnt pull the trigger on the heat. Is this a trap game with Mia at Lakers on Xmas. Too many points for me to be comfortable with to back Mia in this one. Great storylines tonight fellas

The big 3 in miami average a combined 96 point average against a suns team that gives up 110 and please don't forget about mike miller. Cousins in sac give milwaukee the edge in this one bogut will dominate and earl boykins will brek down sac defense. Spurs are 15 and 0 when matt bonner gets 6 and I truly think he will get 6 against a magic team that plays no d except howard but he is on the inside. Gl !

This my first post but I'm one of the best handicappers you never heard of. Easy play for tomorrow spurs ml playing a preseanson team while they are world champions and heal minus 6 . Steve nash and grant hill will be no match for wade bosh and james especially coming off a streak and home loss and no vince carter spells a long nite for suns.
