The most important factor for Monday’s game is likely David West’s health. West aggravated a back injury in Game 6 when Robert Horry caught him with a hard backside screen. West left the game and didn’t return as the Spurs rolled to an easy win, forcing a Game 7 back in New Orleans.

Now West’s back is a concern, along with Tyson Chandler’s foot.

"Took a pretty good shot in the back," New Orleans coach Byron Scott told reporters on Saturday. "Maybe it's a good thing that Game 7 is on Monday. It gives him a chance to get some rest - get that back together. Same thing with Tyson (Chandler) and his foot."

Then again, giving an experienced team like the Spurs another chance when you had them on the ropes is never a good idea. So what’s it going to be? Youth and enthusiasm or age and experience?

dont be braa, way to many off rebounds by the spurs. tey will lose their will with about 5 min to go. there wont be ay late fouling tonight. this one will fall about 13 short, or a few more, just like you capped it. your the best there is around here, keep it up . peace

Magicman, as you can see from the threads mate, Tennis has been $$$$$$ for a while, and that's an understatement! (even if I say so!) Stay tuned brother, I take one thing at a time. At the moment, let's cash in this UNDER Oh crap I'm so so "shocked"the "mediocre" Spurs defence is holding the mighty Hornets at nearly 10pts a quarter!!!! It's the fukin game 7 fellas, it's not East v West exhibition match or some charity event! Having said that though, as robbie pointed out, this is FAR from over. not counting my chooks before they hatch yet! Still biting my nails here...

Analysis:

Things simply continue to roll for me as I have had an excellent May. I've found a ton of success in MLB and that includes another sweep Tuesday that brings my overall run to 11-1. That doesn't even include yesterday's free play on the Angels, which won 12-0! Tonight, I'm recommending the Cardinals over the Padres as we're getting the much better team at a very good price.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Yesterday - After surprisingly losing Monday's opener, the Cardinals came back to really beat up on the Padres, winning 10-2. That win gives St. Louis the best WL record as well as the best run differential in Major League Baseball. Therefore, the fact they come into tonight as a virtual Pick Em against a sub-.500 foe with a bad starting pitcher looks like a real bargain, at least to me.

2. Unknown over the Known - This applies to the starting pitching matchup as the Padres will send out Burch Smith, who has made two starts so far and neither has gone well. He first allowed six runs in one inning, then allowed five more Friday vs. Washington, here at home. San Diego has obviously lost both starts. They should lose another here as the Cardinals are 25-11 vs. right-handed starters this season. Meanwhile, St. Louis goes with Tyler Lyons, making his MLB debut Wednesday. San Diego has a losing record vs. lefties.

3. X-Factor - The Cardinals sure had a lot of their own fans at Petco last night. I'm sure they all didn't make the trip out to San Diego for just one game.
