College football is still months away, but If you're anything like us you're itching for it to return. Luckily for us so are oddsmakers in Las Vegas, as sportsbook operator CG Technology has released futures for college football conference championships and there are few surprises when it comes to the favorites.
Blue blood programs are the favorites to win each of the Power Five conferences in 2017, highlighted once again by Alabama, which is the 2/3 favorite to win the SEC title. A conference title in 2017 for the Crimson Tide would be their fourth in as many years and fifth in the last six years. Alabama's biggest challenge appears to be coming from LSU at 7/2 and Auburn at 5/1.
It's more of the same in the other major conferences.
Florida State is the 6/5 favorite in the ACC ahead of Louisville and Clemson at 14/5, Ohio State is the 9/5 favorite to win the Big Ten ahead of Penn State and Wisconsin at 13/5, while USC at Even money and Oklahoma at 5/7 are the best bets to win the Pac-12 and Big 12 respectively.
