Anze Kopitar, Trevor Lewis and Trevor Moore scored first-period goals as the Los Angeles Kings rebounded from an early deficit and finished off a 6-3 victory over the visiting Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday.

Blake Lizotte, Kevin Fiala, Adrian Kempe and Kopitar each had a goal and an assist for Los Angeles. Pheonix Copley made 24 saves in his second start as the Kings won for the third time in four games.

The Kings' burst of three goals in a 4:21 stretch of the opening period led to the exit of Coyotes goalie Connor Ingram after less than 13 minutes. Ingram stopped six shots. Karel Vejmelka entered and saved 15 of the 17 shots he faced.

Jack McBain, Nick Bjugstad and Clayton Keller scored for the Coyotes, who fell to 3-3-0, having played five of their six games on the road. Arizona now plays five of six at home, including a rematch with the Kings in Tempe, Ariz., on Friday.

McBain put the Coyotes on top 1-0 at 2:59 of the opening period when he pounced on a rebound from Travis Boyd's shot and scored his first of the season.

Kopitar got the Kings even at 1-1 on the power play at 8:13 of the first period with a one-timer for his third of the season. The goal came off an assist from Fiala, who extended his points streak to five games.

Lewis gave the Kings the lead for good at 10:35 of the first when he scored off a backward pass from Lizotte. Two minutes later, Moore scored off a pass from Phillip Danault.

The Coyotes pulled within a goal at 6:17 of the second period when Bjugstad scored his second of the season. Lizotte answered for a 4-2 Kings lead a mere 1:22 later. His second goal of the season came after an Arizona turnover in the Los Angeles zone.

Again the Coyotes got within a goal at 4-3 when Keller scored his fourth of the season, on the power play at 17:28 of the second period. But Fiala made it 5-3 at 5:35 of the third when he cleaned up a puck on the goal line.

Kempe scored into an empty net the final minute.
