Kris Letang's second goal of the game came with 26 seconds left in overtime Saturday, giving the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins a 4-3 win over the New York Islanders.

Letang, off the rush, used New York's J.G. Pageau as a screen, and his shot from the slot sailed past the blocker of goaltender Semyon Varlamov for the winner.

Letang also had an assist for a three-point night for the Penguins, who are 7-1 in overtime and shootouts.

Sidney Crosby had a goal and an assist, and Jared McCann also scored for Pittsburgh. Goaltender Tristan Jarry, in his seventh straight start, stopped 24 of 27 Islanders shots.

Brock Nelson had a goal and an assist, and Mathew Barzal and Josh Bailey also scored for New York, which is 6-0-2 at home.

Varlamov made 27 saves.

New York opened the scoring at 18:40 of the first. On Oliver Wahlstrom's shot from the left dot, Nelson deflected it under the crossbar from just above the crease for a power-play goal.

Barzal boosted it to 2-0 at 1:34 of the second. He wove his way around the Islanders' offensive zone with the puck before his shot from the lower right circle clipped the stick of Pittsburgh defenseman John Marino and knuckled past Jarry's glove.

The Penguins tied it with a couple quick-strike goals.

On a power play at 2:17 of the third, Varlamov appeared to lose his footing without being touched, and Crosby capitalized from the left circle to make it 2-1.

Letang tied it 26 seconds later. On Kasperi Kapanen's feed from deep, Letang beat Varlamov far side from the right circle.

The assist was Kapanen's 100th career point. All four of Letang's goals this year have come against the Islanders.

Some precision passing by New York culminated with Bailey scoring off a feed from Anthony Beauvillier to put the Islanders back on top, 3-2, at 14:51 of the second.

Pittsburgh pulled into a 3-3 tie 18 seconds into the third. McCann, in his first game back after sitting out seven because of an injury, cashed in on a pass from Evgeni Malkin off a two-on-one.
