In a bizarre case of a millionaire who is found guilty for burning down his house, it gets even stranger as the man appears to take his own life in court.
Worth a watch if you have a couple of minutes, as this is the type of story hollywood movies are made out of.

why would I want to watch a guy take his own life? that is just terrible.
The segment in the video I linked aired in its entirety on CNN, so that in itself speaks to the relative tameness of the video. I'd classify the video as being more graphic in nature, than graphic in content.
I'm certain many covers members have witnessed the euthanization of a beloved pet. The video which I linked certainly does not compare to that experience, seeing as we don't have an emotional connection to the "victim".
The video does however convey some emotion as seen in this thread. I knew upon posting it, that others may find it interesting. Some may feel sorrow for the loss of a life, due to an immaterial object like money (debt), others still would have little sympathy, considering the "victim" lived a lavish lifestyle and reaped what he sowed.
I don't blame you for not wanting to watch the video, but don't blame others for wanting to view it. After all we see far more graphic content during primetime television, and as I referenced in my original post, the story behind the court appearance is quite bizarre and intriguing.

The guy had little to no money, that makes living life on the run incredibly difficult.
Appearing in court he may have felt he had a reasonable chance to beat the charges, it's impossible to know the "victims" mindset, but he may have been more comfortable taking his chances in court, with suicide as option B.
