THIS IS FROM JEFF SCOTT SPORTS, THOUGHT MY FELLOW CHASERS WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS.
Ok after a few hours the last few days I have the results of how teams do when trying to avoid a 3 game or a 4 game home sweep. I took it back to the beginning of the 2008 season. I will do division-by-division, so you can see how each team has done. The 1st number behind each team is how they have done when they lost their 1st 2 games of a 3 game home series, while the number in ( ) is how they have done when they lost the first 3 of a 4 games home series.
AL East--- Baltimore 7-10 (1-1)... Boston 9-4 (0-1)... NY Yanks 10-3 (0-0)... Tampa Bay 3-3 (0-0)... Toronto 10-7 (0-0).
Overall the AL East is 39-27 (1-2)
AL Central--- Chicago 7-4 (1-0)... Cleveland 12-9 (0-1)... Detroit 9-6 (3-0)... Kansas City 13-11 (2-1)... Minnesota 4-5 (0-0)
Overall the AL Central is 45-35 (6-2)
AL West--- LA Angels 11-4 (0-1)... Oakland 11-7 (0-0)... Seattle 6-11 (1-2)... Texas 8-4 (0-1)
Overall the AL West is 36-26 (1-4)
After a rough showing this year as stated in my first post, we see that the AL has bounced back.
NL East--- Atlanta 11-6 (1-1)... Florida 5-12 (0-1)... NY Mets 8-5 (0-1)... Philadelphia 7-4 (0-1)... Washington 13-14 (1-3)
Overall the NL East is 44-41 (2-7)
NL Central--- Chicago 9-4 (0-1)... Cincinnati 17-4 (0-2)... Houston 11-11 (1-0)... Milwaukee 11-8 (1-2)... Pittsburgh 6-11 (1-0)... St Louis 3-7 (1-0)
Overall the NL Central is 57-45 (4-5)
NL West--- Arizona 9-8 (1-1)... Colorado 7-3 (0-0)... LA Dodgers 8-5 (2-0)... San Diego 13-7 (1-0)... San Francisco 8-10 (2-0)
Overall the NL West is 45-33 (6-1)
The American League has gone 120-88 (57.7%) & (8-8)
The National League has gone 146-119 (55.1%) & (12-13)
As you can see by this the overall numbers aren't that overwhelming in favor of the home team, but you can also see that there are certain teams that do really well or pretty bad. I hope this helps all of you.

MARINERS WITH ONLY ONE SWEEP ALL YEAR in NON INTER LEAGUE PLAY. Have to like our chances with the A's.
On a side note, did anyone else find humor in the surnames of TIGERS/MARINERS trade?
FISTER FOR FURBUSH! Is that a trade or a title of a Porn Movie? I can't believe the feminist movement was not all over this one.
