Pelicans receive: Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, 2019 #4 overall pick + 2 more future first rounders
I think both teams won the trade as now the Lakers have the best frontcourt in the NBA, and a win now team for an aging Lebron. But the Pelicans now have the most potential ever and if Zion really is the next big thing, this team could make the playoffs this upcoming year. But given that the NBA is about stacking stars in order to win, and that now the Lakers are even more attractive to add one more star this offseason, I have to give the edge to the Lakers as they have something guaranteed to at least be a top 3 seed in the west while the Pelicans still will have a toss-up between many of these young players.
Its also key to remember the Lakers got to keep Kuzma, certifying the frontcourt by at least saving one young key asset. This looks to be a good start of a crazy free agency...

The question is who can stop Bron and Brow in the paint?

If the Fakers do not win a title in 2020 its a bust. Plain and simple....Gave up all those assets when they could have gotten AD in 2020 and kept every one all all their picks...

Also just thought of something, I doubt it will happen but imagine if the Lakers sign Klay Thompson instead of kemba or butler...that would be exactly what they need, a guy who doesnt need the ball and plays defense, that team would maybe be better then the warriors with durant...

Why would Klay take 4/140 from the Fakers when he can get 5/190 from the Dubs?

exactly I know, I was just thinking of the best option possible. also if you do the math, thats only 3 mil more a year, if he wanted to leave for some reason, all is possible

Its guaranteed $$..Will a 34 year Klay that had a torn ACL get $50 Million+ on a new contract if he signs with the Lakers.. He's won 3 titles already..He not a ring chaser...

Everyone thinks the Lakers are a destination spot now with AD that other free agents will take less money to go there...All the top free agents this is their one and only shot get the biggest payday's of their careers in their primes...

Kyrie...Kemba...Jimmy....Go to the Fakers and you are the 3rd option...remember Chris Bosh.....Klutch Fakers...You Know LBJ and his drama is still #1 option...AD #2 Option...Take less money and give all the credit to LBJ and Klutch sports...

I would give Kawhi or Butler max money. if not, spend on two complementary players.
complementary players are the way to go I think, already enough stars and you just need solid guys at this point... dont see why they want to give max to kemba

Lakers will be fighting for 8th spot next year, and their fans are talking about titles...covers will always be comedy gold, day in day out.
I would agree if the main superstar was anyone other then Lebron, he knew what he was doing, he took the time off this year and next year hes going 110% to get this team to be a winner
Also, if he didnt get hurt, this lakers team was on pace to finish top 4 in west, so idk where you get the 8th seed idea from

LBJ will be 35 this year....What player in NBA history was been dominant at that age with all that miles and 8 straight Finals, which is like 2 more seasons of basketball...Kobe tore his achillies at that age...MJ did it but he took 2 years off to play baseball and had a solid team/Core.. Thinking LBJ will be LBJ of 3-4 years ago with the Cavs is foolish...

Lakers pace early on meant nothing - teams would have started to get more film on their style of play and they would get exposed with all their weakness

I know but thats why this trade is exciting for them, Lebron will be trying to go that 110 but for once he wont need to in his career. Now with AD and one more star coming, Lebron wont have to go full crazy by himself
even from the miami days, my favorite player dwayne wade seemed to be some shrug off #2 to him a lot of times. Now Lebron has a team where he isnt the best player by that much

The Cavs 2017 team was stacked....Healthy LBJ..Kyrie...Love...TT as a defensive rebounding center...3 Point shooters in Korver/Jr Smith/Channing Frye....Jeff Green/Richard Jefferson..... LBJ in his prime....They got smoked...Lakers won't have a better team than that..

Why not? If LBJ stays healthy he for sure will put up his regular numbers and big time leadership, AD is much better then Love and they can still add another max slot starter to provide scoring and playmaking like kyrie did, and then you still got Kuzma and they will add solid veteran role players
