Everything going on now and you talk about the great Louis Farrakhan. He is as racist as they come. Good that you apologized but I have to wonder if it's genuine. Sorry just my opinion, and I'm sure the opinion of many others. Anti-semitic, anti white, Louis Farrakhan at his best. And they busted Drew Bree's ass because he respects the flag. WTF! Racism is a two way street that needs to find it's dead end.

Both the GM and Owner are jewish, I wish they would have taken harder punishment on him given that if roles were reversed, one would be banned from the league...

mrusso-weather about NFL Games or the world we live in, your comments are insightful. You are an asset to this forum!
With everything going on, I am seriously considering closing my accounts and not following/wagering on sports anymore. Considering my first bet was on Joe Montana and the 49ers, that is saying something.

HE should NEVER play a down again ..But it's the same team that let Riley Cooper play
We're two of like four black people on this site and we both agree on this. Double standards never contriibute to unity and equality. This is the equivalent of a white player praising David Duke and he should be made an example of.

I'm just gonna say it. Not because i'm Christian. Not because i'm a black apologist. I hate black apologist. I'm gonna say it because it's fact. The Nation of Islam is fucked. Royally. They did many good things in the black community but money currupts. Power currupts. And absolute power currupts absolutely. A religeous group should never be tied to a race. When it is, it ceases to be a religeous group and becomes a supremacy group. A hate group. Just look what they did to Malcolm X. You want to talk about setting all black people back by killing one man. That would be the man. More than even MLK. The main NOI group in Oakland when I was growing up was like the mafia. And I supported them even though I wasn't muslim. I'd buy a final call. Buy a been pie even though I didn't eat them. Money i'll never get back. I was at the million man march as a teenager and everything and now as an adult i'm like fuck the "honorable minister". Fuck the NOI. My god loves all equally.

Trooper, thx. I hate that we are talking politics, racism, coronavirus, but it can't be ignored. I know we're all better than this and hopefully we'll get it right, sooner than later.

I think we'd all be better off when athletes start playing again, and concentrate on that instead of speaking about anything other than sports.

I have a question, and I'm being genuine. Does talking about racism, keep racism alive? Interesting take on the Muslim religion and how it's tied to the Black community Stu. I never thought of it but you make sense.
It's not the muslim religion per se. It's the Nation of Islam specifically. They only represents a small fraction of the black community, most black Americans are Christian, but through that small fraction they have somehow have become synonymous with pro-blackness.
As far as your question, not only does talking about racism keep it alive, it breeds it. The media is the worst. They represent the decomposing material the the fungus that is racism grows of.

I'm of the same understanding then. For those of us who aren't racist, it stays in the grave when it's not being brought up. But it's an imperfect world with imperfect people. So I suppose that there is a time and place for such dialogue. It just feels like in today's society so many different subjects(like racism) are in the forefront in an improper or mistimed manor.

The problem is there are incidents happening with far too much regularity. You can't blame the media for showing some racist CEO of a tech company insulting a peaceful family of Asians celebrating mom's birthday at a restaurant. Really! Why? What was the purpose of that? If I don't see it on the news, I never know it happened. And I want to know. No, individuals must be accountable and educated, if not punished. There are cameras everywhere, and they don't lie.

He should be made example of , but he won't be ...The NFL is going to bend over and Pander ..Believe DeSean knew this before he spoke ...
A few BILLS that live in town ( all backups ) say the players are scared as hell ..Especially after their agents showed them what the NHL sent out ( 30+ pages of do's and don'ts ....One players agent told them they might expand the roster to 72 + players in order to offset all the possible games missed ro Covid ..
BEST OF HEALTH, HAPPINESS,WEALTH, BLESSINGS and LUCK TO ALL !!

Listen, some people are just naive, maybe just stupid and maybe racist. I believe that mentality can be changed, thru education. I had to do community service years ago for mistakes I made. If I'm the owner of a team and someone makes racist comments here is the deal. You will do extensive community service with whomever it is you insulted, gay, black, white, Asian, I don't care. You will report Everything you have learned, and you better be sincere. Do it, or you don't play on my team. Education. Bottom line.
