Currently up $8500 on the NFL this year, and will be making a $5000 wager on this game
Constantly checking every hour for this line to open as I want to jump on it right away. Obviously, waiting for the status for Cutler before the line is announced. I am really hoping he plays, as GB will probably open at -3 then
Yup, I know GB homer here. Bla bla bla, the same guy who said NY didnt beat them in the playoffs. Yeah, thats me. I beat you to it, you dont have to remind me.
I am also the guy, when the Bears were 7-1 this year said they wouldnt make the playoffs and wouldnt get 10 wins
Currently have 12000 coming to me when the Bears dont get 10 wins and another 10000 if they dont make the playoffs.
Friends around here were giving me 6-1 and 8-1 odds on those wagers, including 5-1 on the Bears not winning the division when they were 7-1
It is all coming down to this game. I mean no way the 7-1 Bears, with a defense that looked SO AWESOME, couldnt go 2-6 down the stretch could they??? I mean, they looked so good against.......NOBODY!!!! They beat 2 good teams all year, however when they played those teams (Indy/Dall) those teams werent even playing good. They were lucky to get Luck and Indy opening day on the road. Then, they played Dallas when they were struggling. Fact is, if Car and Det didnt hand the Bears the game at home, the Bears are 6-7 right now. This is not a good football team, and people refuse to listen when I say that because they see my picture and username and think I am a homer. I know this team as well I know the Packers. The Bears are NOT a good football team. The only reason they were winning games at the start of the year, was because they were playing BAD QBS who were making awful mistakes. Now, they are playing good teams, with QBS who take care of the ball.
All over the site, you see threads and comments that GB is overrated. So be it, people have their opinions. GB has lost 4 games. They lost to 2 1st place teams, and 2 2nd place teams and 4 of the 7 other teams who will be in the playoffs. An opening day loss against SF and 3 road losses against Indy who has 1 home loss, Giants have 2 home losses and Seattle has none. And, no matter what anybody says, they W/L might say loss but GB was robbed in Seattle, Seattle didnt win
Either way, for an overrated team, those arent the bad losses that most teams have
As for the match-up. Two weeks ago, people were "claiming" the Bears were still the favorite in the division ,yet here we are with GB able to clinch in only week 15
Cutler stinks. He cant beat GB. He opens his mouth, and it doesnt help. The Bears have 1 WR, Marshall. Marshall is a stud, but like week 2, GB wont allow him to do anything. They had a great game plan last night against Calvin, and will do the same with Marshall, just like they shut him down earlier this year. Once you shut down Marshall, they have no other threat besides Forte. GB did an AWFUL job last night covering the back on passes, but hopefully they address that this week, because Forte could have a huge game if they dont. Even if Cutler plays, 1 hit with that awful line, and he is out of the game
The big thing this week, is everybody is coming back for GB . Shields had a great night last night coming back. Jordy will be back, Woodson will be back, but most important Clay will be back. Without Clay, GB has NO PASS RUSH what so ever. He completely changes that defense. He opens the inside pressure, and allows more room for blitz's from everywhere. Charles is getting old and slow, but having out there is comfort for the secondary. With all these good players being injured, the youngesters have had great action which will help come playoff time.
GB ran the ball well the last few weeks. That Harris kid runs tough, and Grant can be the power guy again. Rodgers has not been sharp this year, but is still putting up very good numbers. Having Jordy back, and all his WRS together at 1 time will be great. When they spread Jordy, Jennings, Jones and Cobb.....what in the world do you do??? Who do you cover?? Who do you double???
