PLEASEZZZZZZZZZ
The "elite" days of Peyton are over IMO. I do hope he remains very healthy, and I kind of want to see what he can do with another team. But I think it's a longshot that he ever returns to his old form as we remember. That was a cocktail of many ingredients that the former colts team did well, but it's history now.
Colts are correct for moving on without him, and Peyton is correct to try again elsewhere. I don't see the controversy really

I think Miami would be a good fit... those receivers might not have
a quick start with that sloppy field.
Peyton needs quick open receivers...
Dallas would make a huge splash. I hope that is where he goes.

My take on the Peyton sweepstakes. I'm playing it this way. It's a long shot for sure but I have placed futures bets on the SB winner next year based on where I think he may end up.
I placed 4 small bets on the following teams. Denver, Miami, Arizona, & San Fran. For $25 each I have a shot at + $1000 win next Feb.
Like I said, it's a long shot, but a very inexpensive gamble for the 2012 NFL season. I think he will come back with a vengeance, a chip on his shoulder, and comeback player of the year. Time will tell I'm full of it. It's a gamble I'll gladly take.
