Early Plays this week. Usually don't have write-ups, but:
Bama -21 (2u) Bama with a week off going into the meat of the season. Saban will have his team focused (using FSU last week and USCe of 2010) despite the recent injuries and Franklin being out. Missouri scores no more than 14 points...Bama scores atleast 38. Ole Miss -4 (2u) Auburn is in disarray and they are awful. Despite Ole Miss's near victory last week, this team is still focused on a positive season (for them)....Freeze will build on the last two week's performances. USC -12: USC can use the extra days off to rest up their thin team. Plus, seeing the games Saturday they realize that they can still possibly play in the NC if they win out. They'll try to keep pace with Oregon last week and blowout UW. Washington will have trouble slowing down USC O this week...different than Stanford. Awful Colorado team at home next for USC. LA tech +8: Texas A&M wins an emotional game last week and I think they've had the LSU game circled all year...trying to make a statement next week. For LA Tech, this is their statement game and possibly the biggest home game in school history. TCU +8: Revenge game from last year and the team will have time to prepare with the new QB. I know many think this team is overrated, but I think they keep the game within a TD. Plus, Baylor has UT on deck. Arkansas -17: Arky wants to go back home and build off their win @ Auburn against a weak UK team. They still have play makers and wont look past anyone the rest of the year. They'll try to dominate UK in front of a hungry fan base. UK is still hurting with an injured QB and UGA up next week.
Thoughts?
I like USCe, but their history makes it tough to bet on them this weekend. LSU's O looks pretty bad, they did against an awful Auburn D as well as UF this past week. I think USCe wins, but I'll have to see how the week goes before I pull the trigger.
I'll take a look at some of the smaller games this week and make plays later.
