Two completely different QB's- Marino had probably the quickest release ever. I met him one time at a swimming pool during the season and he looked like "Joe schmo beer drinker"- Didn't look anything like an athlete but had one of the greatest arms ever. It's too early to tell just how good Brees will end up but he is damn good.

I'm sure that somebody has already said it, but you really can't compare the QB's because of the rule changes that have been implemented lately. You can't touch the QB and you can't hit the WR too hard. Completely different game these days. Check this video out...

Great post. It's ridiculous to compare records. It's a different era if rules were the same still then yes it's equal. Nowadays c'mon! I'm shocked it lasted this long with the way offense is babied. Brees seems like a good guy to me so good for him but Marino with today's rules might have got 6000 yards.
