Db, arguing with people like Allbutbroke is like trying to play chess with a pigeon. the pigeon knock over thechess pieces, craps on the board and then struts around like it's won

You don't know me at all - but you are welcome to your opinion. I welcome you to explain where I am wrong.
Thanks Hookem

Yeah both teams were paid off. The Devils were robbed for giving up 3 PP goals on the major.
Kings still had to put the puck in the net and the Devils made it look easy. The NHL set up every series for the Kings to win so the cup would be on the west coast.
Adjust your tin foil hat.

Im not saying the Kings dont deserve to win . Or that the Devils didnt deserve that penelty,My point is that the ruling on a 5min major is terrible .That ruling not like any other in sports .can change and affect a whole game,tremendously..To have to play shorthanded for that amount of time, even after a score,to me is too much of an advantage for the opposing team.I just dont think a foul or a penalty in any sport should have the potential to change the game totally. And that one could of changed more than a game it could of changed the whole series . Its just one of the many reasons ,why the game is still behind the other major sports.

If you didn't have a 5 minute major call, then it would be open season on all sorts of injuries. Anyone that knows anything about hockey knows that it is a very rare call that is deserved when it is dished out.
When players in other sports start playing at speeds of about 20 MPH there will be bigger penalties/fouls in those sports also for more severe, illegal hits.

Anyone who knows ANYTHING about NHL hockey knows that the Kings have had a solid D&G for several years and the buzz has always been that they could not score enough to keep up with OR pass the bigger NAME teams that get more respect... Well... The Kings have started to score also... so as long as they can continue to score they will NOW be on that list of big NAME teams... and currently they sit ATOP that list as SCChamps.
A penality did NOT decide this Championship... the Championship was won when the Kings found the ability to score and score as often as the needed to to win that Championship.
Have you forgotten that the Kings were 15-4 going into that last game... They didn't win all those games by waiting for a Powerplay... which was really not all that good anyway in these playoffs... I've seen much better from other teams in the past.
Or maybe you are referring to the McSorely illegal stick incident back in the 93 finals...???
If NJ had concetrated on trying to score and not on breaking someones face on the glass... maybe they could have forced a game 7... and still lost to a Kings team that went 10-1 on the road (and not 10-1 on gift calls on the road).
Other teams have killed off a 5 minute major in the past... If NJ was deserving of this championship then they could have killed it off and settled down to try and win that game 6.
Brodeur had an awful game 6... and that was a major factor in the NJ loss in the finals.
The Kings simply freight trained NJ on the scoreboard and in the game after that NJ player decided to frieght train that Kings players face into the glass.
Personally I'm still waiting for the suspension from the league. If he had done that to one of my team mates... I'd of had him eat the butt end of my stick.
I just read my post and saw that I used the same wording to start my post as did Lipps... Ha,ha,ha. Just a coincidence Lipps... I swear.

For the entire world ( with the exception of North America) "football" or as we know it... "soccer" is the most popular sport in the world...
They have this little thing called a RED CARD...
