The Oilers aren't wasting any time and are going with Ben Scrivens tonight who they just acquired from Los Angeles yesterday. Scrivens is sporting a nice 1.97 GAA and a SVPCT of .931. I guess we are going to find out if his numbers are good because he played on a team like L.A. or if it's him!
Kuemper has a 2.46 GAA and and SVPCT of .910. I'm kinda feeling the Under here and if that moneyline on the Oilers rises to +140 I'm definitely going to take that. I'm even going to be severely tempted at +135.

Wild and Under. Don't see many Wild homers set over that key 5 total mark and there's a reason why. Even without Harding in net the goals very rarely total over 5 in this building. Oilers have some skill but the Wild are used to regularly shutting down the top lines of the top west teams so Edmonton shouldn't be anything they can't handle.
I'm not sure if Scrivens will be especially stunning considering that they are rushing him in there. Has he had any practice time with the new defence pairs he'll play with tonight and does he know the method to the madness that they call defensive systems in Edmonton? I'm not sure he'll hold any of those elite stats without that LA defence. Can Scrivens face over 30 shots a night every night and not burn out?
Just for the sake of tonight I think the Oilers still make too many mistakes in the defensive end for Scrivens to be able to bail them out on his first night (maybe after a week), and Scrivens is too new to know the holes they have and be able to compensate for them. I think he'll be caught by surprise at least a few times tonight.
