Yacker - I think this game is similar to the Creighton matchup from last year in the NCAA's. Yes, OSU does not play particularly inspiring defense, but ultimately you have to put the ball in the bucket to win games. OSU has a variety of zones it can deploy to force Alabama to win the game from the outside. At MSG, a difficult to place to shoot, that seems like a tall order. This Beaver team has so many intriguing pieces and from what I read yesterday and today this could very well be their long-awaited coming-out party.
I have been doing some reading as well and I can see where you are coming from. I know they lost Cunningham but Bama losing Green is the bigger deal here. I do think Bama will get after them on defense and this is a game where Jacobs can score in the paint for Bama. Lacy is playing with a lot of confidence and I expect Releford to play well also. I just think there are too many unknowns to make a play here on the side but that UNDER looks pretty good. The thing that worries me there is Grant may try and extend the defense because he knows that his team will struggle in the halfcourt. In the comeback over South Dakota St they did it with fullcourt pressure. I also could see Oregon State cleaning the glass in a big way. I would lean UNDER and Oregon St but I will lay off and root for the Tide. Good luck to you!
