Disturbance, and chaos. Look over here at the shiny ball........
It certainly appears that way.
More disruption
I'm sure the usual tactics of trying to provoke the police into a violent response will be used, and the media will report every demonstration as proof of the "power" of this movement - even though the numbers of protestors are likely to be as paltry as they were over the winter.
In short, we've seen it all before. And we're likely to keep seeing it as long as the press gives outsized attention to these reprobates and miscreants who resent their betters and have nothing to do except complain about how miserable their lives are.

Ever since the NYPD raided Zuccotti Park at the start of last winter, robbing Occupy Wall Street of its symoblic home and constant visibility, the movement has promised a resurgence. In the months that followed, the loosely structured movement against income inequality and corporate corruption mostly idled, popping up sometimes, but gradually losing its hold on national headlines. Still, organizers continued to hype a bigger and better second act and the mobilization of thousands more, all of which is supposed to come to fruition on Tuesday, May 1. With so much riding on one day, they better have a hell of a plan.

With the horror of 70 million dead in, what was then Communist Soviet Union; the 10-20 million dead and impoverished under Mao, and the never shown abjection of Cuban fascism a distant memory, it’s know wonder impressionable young people act like so many before them did.
I’ll bet 15 years from now, when reality slaps them in the face, they’ll say: “What were we thinking!”

A crowd of about 50 protestors gathered at San Francisco’s Dolores Park, most wearing the now familiar black masks of the Black Bloc. Police were stationed at the perimeter but made no attempt to break up the gathering mob of mask wearing hoodlums. Then the group left the park and broke windows, threw garbage cans and painted anarchist symbols on street signs, businesses and cars in the area of Mission and 16th Street. The group was shouting “Fuck the police” and “Here, piggy piggy!” They were met by a phalanx of riot police, who caused the group to scatter.

The reason the media doesn’t want to warn us or talk what might happen tomorrow is for a few reasons. The first is that if Occupy fails tomorrow, the movement will become an even bigger laughingstock than it already is, which, of course, undermines its effectiveness in aiding Obama's re-election. If, however, Occupy fizzles without a lot of media attention, it's less damaged and can live to fight yet another day.
The second reason has to with not wanting to give any exposure to the movement's dark side. Obama's Media Palace Guards are desperate to have us believe that Occupy is some kind of organic uprising buoyed by the fact that the rich don’t pay enough taxes or other such nonsense. In reality, though, a General Strike isn’t some touchy-feely drum circle, it's designed to bring a country to its knees and blackmail the entire nation into giving in to the Left.

OK, I get their beef now.
They’re protesting against the economic system of free markets, a.k.a. capitalism.
If they want to do away with capitalism, what economic system do they want in its stead?
Maybe they’re right.
Is there a better economic system that can bring prosperity to a greater number of people?
If there is, I'll keep an open mind and join them.

Glenndef62 It's all about distractions, these aren't true protesters, at least most of them aren't, they are being funded by the unions and George Soros while being endorsed by Obama. Look over here at the shiny ball.

60 dollars a head to protest at OWS!!!!!!!
I know, Front Row.
A little Devil’s Advocate thing going.
Maybe in another thread, we can deliberate as to whether Unions are, in general, a good thing for society as a whole, or a bad thing.
Also, perhaps in another thread, we can weed out the philosophy of George Soros, and determine if it’s beneficial to society as a whole.
Don’t want the left to be able to say we’re rigid, and have closed minds.

Woa !!
Just say your # 43 post after I typed my comments.
Being “bought off” to protest is unquestionably detestable and corrupts the concept of organized and sincere protestation, when one thinks an injustice has occurred.
