WG!!!!! GET EMM!!!!
Thanks Buddy , Good Luck This season
Too funny, and here I thought all these years you were having a romance across the street with the the killer BigQueenQH.
Quote from the Queen
"I snap my fingers and you are gone. I have that power. Nobody, and I man nobody, messes with me and gets away with it. That means you. Others in here have tried. Most of them are no longer in here. I have three things that you do not.
1. Money. Money buys success. The more money you have, the more success you will have IF you know what you are doing. In case you have not figured it out yet, most people in here do not.
2. Training and knowledge. When I was working for a living, I was trained to specifically neutralize people who were a problem. I have sent my share of people to jails, the hospitals, and the morgues. I use the world of technology to my advantage. I can find out anything I want to know about anyone in here. That gives me a huge advantage because I know everything that I need to know and people like yourself do not.
3. Experience. I know people who have won a lot more money than I have. I learn from them. I was taught by some of the best including Frank (Lefty) Rosenthal. Jimmy "the Greek" Snyder, and others. Did you know that Lefty Rosenthal was once considered to be “one of the greatest living experts on sports gambling” by Sports Illustrated. I listened, and only talked to ask questions, something that many people in here should do."
Sorry WISEGUY36 I could not resist posting this so bookassassin could see it if he has done so already. If I need a good laugh in my day, I just have to go across the street and read the postings of BigQueenQH.

Wise and BA - wtf is wrong with you guys on your ad him attack on Combato? He expressed a different opinion on analytics and you savagely attack him. You could have done so in manner that conveyed disagreement in a respectful manner. Isn’t that what this forum is all about. We are all anonymous here. We should be here to hel each other beat the books. And especially you BA...with your new and many would say well deserved status as a covers professional, you should shelve these nasty and personal attacks. If you want current and new covers contributors to respect you (outside your small army of suck up thugs), then treat everyone with respect. Otherwise, you only as good as your last pick or last week or last year in the eyes of your potential market. Please shelve the unprofessional behavior and represent Covers as you would represent any business partner or employer. Your behavior towards me Combato et al this last few weeks has been disgraceful.
and Wise, wtf...you are granddaddy sage off covers college football...what’s up with the attacks and taking sides? That seems to be a paradigm shift from the encouraging mentor Wise that I been acquainted with in the past. I am disappointed.

You are getting emotional/sensitive again LH What the frick do you care, as this is cyberspace. You just cannot get that through your thick skull. You are not on a church or sissy forum, grow some balls. If you do not like what you consider their "personal attacks", simply do not come into there threads, and if you do, ignore the posting you have a problem with. They feel they have valid reasons for posting whatever comments they choose to post, and in the case of Combato they honestly do have a point, and I am happy they called him out.
There philosophy is if you do not like it, the door is open for you to leave and never come back, just do not let the door hit you in the arse on your way out.

No bad feelings here. What starts out as harmless back and forth can escalate in the absence of face to face contact.
You obviously know a lot but so do I. I will continue to read your threads and take what I think is valuable.
It's absurd hurl childish insults at each other on the forum.
I can see how my comments, taken out of context, could be intepreted differently than what I intended
Lets bury it and move on the upcoming season

I agree. If you think reading it is hard, you should try writing it. I understand that some of my stuff is fairly esoteric and not in the traditional vein of subjective handicapping.
Most old school cappers, some of whom are quite good, use the subjective approach. And the subjective capping definitely has its place. But grabbing numbers out of thin air and wild guesses about what the number should be are hardly the stuff of long term winning.
I use game simulations derived from linear regressions that I run to find out what factors are correlated to win percentage. What could be easier than than that? I take the data from the regressions and simulate games between teams. Add a little subjective handicapping on top and see what comes out.

I think Bill Connelly can hang with anyone in a discussion of CFB. If you have ever heard him on his podcast, you would know. There is a reason he got the big bucks to go to ESPN. Ain't no Covers clown gonna embarrass Bill Connelly on any topic related to CFB.
