Went
10-6 last week which I'm happy with overall. A couple more undefeated
teams went down in Georgia and West Virginia, while a couple others in
Notre Dame and UCF barely escaped. But the name of the game in CFB is
survival, so that's all that matters.
Michigan is looking better each
week and dominated Wisconsin, but can they carry it over on the road at
Sparty this week?... What do you guys think about that game?
I've locked these in already for next week and am looking at a bunch of others but want to wait on line movement for them.

I'll be rooting for the Spartans, but they might be the ones in more of a letdown spot after the PSU win than Michigan(?). That said, both teams should be fired up here for obvious reasons. The last time Michigan was on the road, they looked pretty average and should've lost to Northwestern (of course, the Spartans did lose at home to NW). Michigan's prior road game to that was at Notre Dame where they got controlled.
I don't put too much stock into the Wisconsin win for Michigan since the Badgers are so limited at QB and have looked average all year. But Wolverines do have the better defense and you can run on the Spartans more now than in years past. Spartans also have a bunch of questionable guys on offense for this game (including LJ Scott), so will need to check their status closer to game day. As of now, no play for me.

Thanks for the thoughts Motowner! I agree - it's hard to know what to expect out of Sparty from week to week. But I'd love to ideally take the +7 in this game where strange things seem to always happen.
It's been bet up from the +6.5 opener - maybe it will reach +7.5 or even higher at some point? People seem to be in love with Michigan now.

Michigan seems to be a public darling now. Agree with your concerns about them going on the road now.
I'm not putting a whole lot of stock in the "BIG" win over Wiscy. Badgers have injury issues on D and the main reason they have looked average is the play of qb Hornibrook. He has never improved, too innacurate, misses when receivers are open, and forces throws into tight coverage. If Wiscy had had a top flight qb these last few years they would have been in the playoffs.
So, I'm not taking the Michigan win in an alleged big game as an automatic buy sign on the Wolves which appears to be happening. Harbaugh has not shown that he has "the monkey off his back" in big games just yet. Badgers were overrated in my book.
I will say that this is Jim's best team there so far, and yes his D is top flight. My problem is their stodgy pedestrian approach on offense relying on the power rushing attack. If Sparty shuts this down like NW did then what. You become reliant on Patterson who is much like Hornibrook imo. Capable of a big game but not consistent. I just think the conservative play calling allows for little separation and keeps a good opponent in the game.
If the price was -3 I would pass. If they put the hook on the 7 I may be in. Generally prefer the dog in heated rivalry games, especially the home dog. Crazy s%it seems to happen in these games.

Michigan can possibly get in IF they win out. Lots of games still to play though. Anything could happen yet.
Pencil Bama in. Even with a loss, which I don't see happening barring injury to Tua,they get in.
Clemson likely to run the table and in it. Clearly the class of the ACC.
They stumble once maybe not.
ND will be heavily favored against Navy, NW, FSU, Cuse, USC. If they run the table they are in whether we like it or not. Pitt had 'em on the ropes and let them off so it's not automatic.
4th slot? Could be Michigan IF they win out. Most likely it will be Olieo St and if the Buckeyes run the table they are in.
A lot depends on the SEC championship game and what happens there.
At this point it looks like Bama, Clemson, ND, and Ohio St. We shall see. I can tell you that all 4 of these teams would be favored over Michigan if they played on a neutral field tomorrow.

Agreed, good recap. I've never been a fan of ND, but personally wouldn't be too bothered if they made it in if they look impressive here on out. I'd much rather see them get a spot than Michigan for example.
ND passes the eye test a lot better this season than in years past when they didn't belong in the discussion. I just want the best 4 defensive teams to get spots because scoring marathons don't excite me.
