Obviously, given the astronomical home run numbers this year - everyone knows the balls are juiced. Of course, MLB continues to deny it.
We've already seen the HR record broken for both the playoffs and world series. But, is it possible that MLB has reached a new low and juiced the ball even more for the playoffs? The players certainly think so:

Is all this surprising? Did they finally go so far that hero worship has turned into skepticism? Or did you just need more confirmation from outside sources. It has been obvious for years that when they took the needles out of the players butts they stuck them in the balls. Over, Over, Over used to be the silliest thing you could post about a World Series game. Not any more.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

I'm a believer in the juiced baseball theory. The stats and numbers don't lie. Home runs are up. You think the batters just somehow changed their bat launch angle. No. So the answer is either the players or the baseballs are juiced. Take a look at the players...they are not juiced. It leaves one answer...the baseballs. It's that simple.

That swing by Puig was weak which ended up a 2 run HR in the 9th.
Todd Frazier basically threw his bat out at a pitch which was really to prevent getting struck out and it got stuck in the fence at Houston.
Mythbusters could solve this real easily. Get an air cannon and shoot the ball at a steel wall. See how much it bounces back vs the pre 2015 season balls.

Why is this surprising? There have been juiced ball eras in the past. And why would you assume the players are not juiced?
There are physiological enhancing drugs today that when taken with the proper masking agents are undetectable because they do not show up in the blood and saliva tests. The technology today makes far better cocktails that don't show up in Barry Bond-like watermelon heads. They increase strength and reaction time more than size.
It's all about marketing - and baseball is jonesing to emulate the NBA in terms of being a star-driven sport. They are MORE than happy to have juiced everything as long as it does the same to their bank.
Trout will be on the east coast soon so his oatmeal personality can be offset by the New York hype machines, Stanton will soon move north....and Harper will leave tightwad D.C. for greener pastures.

If this is a well known thing by now, why aren't more people exploiting this?
I guess that the MLB only uses the juiced balls in certain games, they pick and choose, it is only obvious in those games that end up high scoring ones, but the MLB doesn't tell anyone which are the games with juiced balls and which aren't, to throw off the suspicions, right?
Follow the pattern: whenever a freak score occurs, it has to be the juiced balls!!!

I would like to see an independent test done on the balls vs older balls. Pitchers throw harder than ever before, this translates to a slightly higher exit velocity. Players are adjusting their swing ie launch angle. Players are striking out more ie swinging for the fences.

Do a little research. The pitchers themselves have admitted to managers asking them in this post series before the game if they want "regular season or post season balls". They even have different colored stamps to differentiate them. Now ask yourself, why would they need two different balls and why are managers even giving them the option to choose which one they want to throw to batters?

I too would like some research done just out of curiousity. I am not married to either side of the juiced/non-juiced debate.
If pitchers would ADJUST their pitch height more to hit the top of the zone you would expect HR's to go down.
I saw Bellinger last night commit first pitch to major launch angle. He was way under the low pitch. He just told you pitcher NOT to pitch him low. High heat then develop a sinker off that same spot about 20 mph slower. If he does hit it will be likely foul anyways.

I agree with pretty much all the posts above but this one rings the bell.
Pitchers are having more trouble getting the ball to slide, there is more at play then the ball simply being going further from the plate.

Remember that Homerun thread by LogCottage? Something like 16 pages of pure hate/argument/disbelief? Even after a few of us presented multiple sources and evidence?
That thread is gone in the wind with this new covers update.
Everyone seems to agree now, what happened? I mean mid season everyone was convinced that it was all about the launch angles and better hitters...

Just because homeruns are up doesnt mean the ball is juiced....
Strikeouts are also up....batting averages down...
Why? Because people dont hit for averge anymore....
When a hitter was down 0-2 or 1-2...years ago they would look to drive it the other way...now nobody cares...0-2 count and they swing for the fences...
Joey Gallo of the Rangers...(im not looking up his exact stats) but he had 40+ homeruns this year, 200+ strikeouts and about 30, yes 30 other hits...THATS PATHETIC!! But thats baseball today....the guy literally swings for a homerun everytime, as does the majority of the league...
Batters miss some pitches by a foot or more....
Just because homeruns are up doesnt mean the ball is juiced...
And the pitchers complaining now is a joke...just because they are no executing pitches...
Game 1 was 3-1
Game 2 was 3-1 into the 8th
Game 3 was low scoring besides a 4 run Astros inning
Game 4 was 0-0 into the 7th...
The balls are juiced but Alex Wood and Morton can throw 6 scoreless????
Maybe its because pitchers are tired since they pitch everyday now and longer than most have in their careers...
They said last night...Morrow has NEVER pitched 3 days in a row in his career....they throw him out there and he gives up 4 runs....must be the juiced balls

The ex-MLB players post-game said the same thing about seeing the pitchers many different times helps the batters.
You almost need as a pitcher to reinvent yourself as much as you can to each guy individually. Not easily done...

Are the balls juiced or are the managers making mistakes by removing starters in the 5th and 6th inning and then asking the relievers to get 6 outs game after game after game.
Go ahead and look up how many 6 out saves Jansen had during the regular season. Now, all of a sudden, Roberts acts like the guy has a bionic arm like he's managing a video game.
All of the other relievers were mediocre to begin with.

Do you think we are going to take your word for it or Justin Verlander and Dallas Keuchel who are winning the World Series and still feel the need to call the commissioner and the way the balls are out.
It's not about launch angle and the way batters are approaching situations because they have also texted the exit velocity of players (players aren't juiced)- its come down to the ball
