Let's be honest...Hard to bet against Clayton in Game 1...One of the best pitchers in our time...Now comes Game 2...And Houston's Justin V, (THEIR Clayton)
I think you may find Houston to start at low underdog odds...+105?! Only to go up before game time, as Dodger Love money comes in...
Rich Hill Is NOT someone I'm afraid of...
Justin will go deep in the game, Rich...MAYBE 5 Full?!
I Think...Like in Hockey, Basketball, Etc...You Wanna Go Home 1-1...And this is Houston's Chance...
We Can Overanalyze 21-5 on grass over last 26...33-14 On Wed, 20- and something on last blah blah blah interleague games...
But I Think...If I'm A Manager, It's Game 7..."Who Do You Want Pitching Vapster?! One Game To Win It All?! Justin Or Rich?!" I think most of us... would pick Justin...

Easy...Take the Home team...Everyone and their mamma will be taking the Astros and Verlander....Line will be Dodgers -120, which is a gift the way home teams have be crushing it.
Home field is HUGE in the playoffs. ...Astros are 1-5 on the road...they can't score on the road. Dodgers are 5-0 at home....

The dodgers have played a bunch of spasticks so far, remember.
Houston played fine last night, Kershaw is the best pitcher of our time.
Rich Hill - not so much, and Verlander will be good tonight. I do think Verlander has to keep LA to less than 3 runs to win this though, and that Houston BP can be shaky.
I have Houston to win the series, so maybe I am biased.

My thoughts are that both teams know what a win here would do. It is a must win for the Astros. They can't lose 2 games with thier aces, I don't care how good they've been at home. Verlander is really the only thing I see that Houston has going for them today and he has to go deep if they want to win.
The Dodgers have been great all playoffs, losing only one game. They are 5-0 in game 2 after taking a 1-0 lead in a best of 7 as well. Hill has been playing pretty well as of late too. They are very disciplined at the plate and could make Verlander throw more pitches than he'd like to and once the bullpen comes in all bets are off.
I think the line looks like a trap, who wouldn't want to take Verlander at that price? In my opinion the best bets would be on the first 5 innings if you're taking the Astros. Otherwise I'd lean Dodgers. Tough call tonight.

And most would lose with that thinking, making the mistake of betting a small road favorite after choosing the better pitcher instead of choosing the better team.

Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon just agreed with each other that the Astros will tie the series tonight. Man, as if Astros bettors didn’t already have a lot going against them tonight...
