Just four years ago, Diamond Pet Foods of South Carolina was fined $3.7m for violating safety production standards and allowing contaminated pet food to sicken and kill.
The fact that this nightmare is happening yet once again should be sufficient proof that these Corporate Fucks simply don't care, period.
Regulations? Bah, Humbug. They will gladly pay a $3.7m fine in order to keep producing and profiting. It's just a cost of doing business for these Corporate Crooks.
"No problem", you say? You don't buy those cheap pet food products anyway? Think again. Diamond has negotiated many "Outsource Contracts" from premium brands like Taste of the Wild and Apex. That's right, you're paying top dollar for the same salmonella garbage infecting the cheap brands.
Here's a list of contaminated products to date: LINK
Keep in mind that all of this is quite avoidable. No cutting corners on production safety and attention to common sense regulations. That's it. It's no miracle recipe.
Killing and sickening our Pets in order to reap more profit.

Kirkland Signature is on the list. That's Costco's "premium" dog food. Seems almost everything is potentially poison these days. May have to go hunting to get quality dog food.

We just put our dogs on a raw food diet. They love it. It is actually really good for them. Sometimes it is a little nasty watching chew on a turkey neck but much healthier than dog food

I saw this but didn't think it was an issue since I have been mixing Natural Balance (Van Patten's Food) and boiled chicken or beef since she doesn't like to eat it dry.
WTF DICK
May have to look into a home made raw diet but it says it can have some nutritional issues.

You just have to mix up their diet to make sure they are getting everything. The lady we buy the stuff from broke it down for us.We have been doing it for a couple of months. It is pretty easy once you get it down. If you want PM me and I will have my wife forward me what they need for their diet

The past two months I have been buying Natural Balance Duck and potato dry food and various cans of the NB wet food beef, chicken, liver etc. to mix with the dry thinking it was higher quality than the normal crap in the grocery store. A few people I know highly recommended it.
She loved it until this last bag I bought and barely touches it now. I live in LA and I read it wasn't effecting CA but strange that all of a sudden she doesn't like it anymore. Plus now that I think of it she had diarea a few days last week and has been a little lethargic so I just threw it all out.
The one thing I have been doing from the start is making snacks for her instead of buying them. My animal rescue friend told me about a recall from China so I said F that.
I boil chicken breasts and chop it up, plain ground beef, plain scrambled eggs and bake plain beef ribs as a treat. She will also eat a slice of apple, celery stick, carrot stick if I am eating it.
I guess it's time to go full raw. Any tips would be appreciated for nutritional balance. Any good info I come across will post here as well.
