Following a break on standard golf action to accommodate the Olympic Games, PGA betting is back as the tour — and many of the world's top pros — gets back to business at this weekend's WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

The WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational odds board was crowded with big-ticket names, with not a single golfer in the field sitting at better than 10/1 odds before Round 1 teed off.

With the PGA Tour back in action, here's a look at the live odds to win this year's WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, teeing off from August 5-8 at TPC Southwind.

WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational pre-tournament favorites

It's incredibly tight at the top of the odds board, but leading the pack is Brooks Koepka at +1,200. It's been feast or gamine for Koepka recently, with five finishes of T6 or better in his last eight events... but the other three results were missed cuts. That said, Koepka's last three events were a T6 at the Open Championship, a T5 at the Travelers Championship, and a T4 at the U.S. Open.

Second on the odds board are recent big-event winners, Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele, at +1,400.  Morikawa has posted a T4 or better in four straight events, including a victory at Royal St. George's at a T4 at the Olympic Games, while Schauffele just claimed the gold medal at Tokyo.

Rounding out the Top 5 are Jordan Spieth, who is coming off a second-place finish at The Open Championship, and Justin Thomas, who is the defending champion but has just one Top-20 finish in his last seven events, both of whom are sitting at +1,600.

Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson are also near the top at +1,800 odds, completing the list of players currently better than 20/1 odds.

How to bet on PGA Tour odds

The most popular way to bet on golf is by simply picking the winner, which is also referred to as outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, however. Some of the more popular markets include head-to-head betting, where sportsbooks pair up two golfers and you simply choose who you think will have the lower score over the course of the weekend or for one round only.

There are also 3-way betting markets (choose the best golfer among three choices) and group betting (choose the best golfer amongst a group of players).

Other ways to wager include Top-5/Top-10/Top-20 finish, top golfer by nationality, to make the cut/to not make the cut, and the leader after each round. Then, of course, there's the popular prop bet of whether or not there will be a hole-in-one at the tournament.
