Denard Robinson threw two touchdowns and rushed for two more as No. 18 Michigan downed No. 16 Nebraska, 45-17, on Saturday.

Robinson left last week’s win against Illinois after spraining his right wrist but showed no ill effects against the Huskers finishing 11-of-18 for 180 yards and adding 83 yards on the ground.

Michigan (9-2, 5-2 Big Ten) eliminated Nebraska (8-3, 4-3) from the Legends Division title race, and helped secure an appearance for Michigan State (9-2, 6-1) in the inaugural Big Ten conference title game after Michigan State beat Indiana 55-3 earlier on Saturday.

Despite not being able to convert any of its five third downs in the first half, Nebraska trailed just 17-10 at the break but saw it all fall apart due to special teams blunders in the second half.

The Huskers fumbled the opening kickoff of the second half and mishandled a snap on fourth down that led to a blocked punt on the following possession. A fake field goal attempt later in the quarter led to another touchdown and a 31-10 Michigan lead.

Nebraska was also flagged for roughing the punter at the beginning of the fourth quarter that led to a Michigan touchdown and a commanding 38-17 advantage.

Rex Burkhead, who was held scoreless for the first time this season, rushed for a season-low 36 yards for the Huskers.
