Recap: Louisville 34, Arkansas State 24

Adam Froman threw three touchdowns passes and Bilal Powell ran for 163 yards and another score, leading Louisville to a 34-24 win over Arkansas State on Saturday night.

The visiting Cardinals (2-2) gained 581 total yards and held off the Red Foxes (1-4), who rallied in the third quarter after trailing 31-7 at halftime.

Froman threw two touchdown passes to Josh Bellamy, an 11-yarder in the first quarter and a 22-yarder in the second quarter. He also hit Powell for a 57-yard score in the second quarter. Froman completed 20-of-33 passes for 300 yards.

Arkansas State quarterback Ryan Aplin also threw three touchdown passes, including a 33-yarder in the second quarter and a 15-yarder in the third. Aplin also threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Taylor Stockemer in the third.

Aplin completed 12-of-25 passes for 210 yards.
