ARLINGTON, Texas -- Ben Gamel and Kyle Seager each hit three-run homers as the Seattle Mariners jumped on the Texas Rangers early and cruised to a 10-3 victory Tuesday night.

Gamel's homer, his ninth of the season, was part of a four-run third inning against Texas starter Miguel Gonzalez (7-11). Seager's homer, his 24th of the season, ended the night for Gonzalez in the third inning.

The Mariners scored runs in five innings and finished the game with 15 hits, including five for extra bases.

The offensive support was enough to get Marco Gonzales (1-1) his first win in seven starts with Seattle since getting traded from St. Louis on July 21. Gonzales struck out six and gave up three runs and eight hits in five innings.

After spotting Seattle a 4-1 lead, the Rangers got a run off Gonzales in the second on an RBI single from Willie Calhoun, who was called up from Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday and made his major league debut.

Down 7-1, the Rangers got two runs back in the bottom of the third on RBI singles from Nomar Mazara and Joey Gallo.

The Texas comeback bid was short lived as Seattle got those runs back in the fifth and sixth innings on a fielder's choice grounder from Mike Zunino and an RBI double from Robinson Cano. Zunino accounted for the first Seattle run in the second inning on an RBI single ahead of the Gamel homer.

Gamel and Cano each had three hits for Seattle. Mitch Haniger, Nelson Cruz, Yonder Alonso and Zunino each had two. Jean Segura also drew a bases-loaded walk for Seattle in the eighth.

Texas had 10 hits, all singles. Mazara and Shin-Soo Choo each had two.

The Mariners made short work of Texas starter Miguel Gonzalez, scoring seven times off him in 2 1/3 innings to build a 7-1 lead.

A third-run homer from Ben Gamel gave the Mariners a 4-0 lead in the second inning. After the Rangers got a run back in the bottom of the third, Kyle Seager's three-run homer to right in the fourth pushed the lead to 7-1.

Texas got two of the runs back in the bottom of the third on RBI singles from Nomar Mazara and Joey Gallo.

Mike Zunino, who gave Seattle a 1-0 lead with a single in the second, added a fielder's choice grounder in the fifth to push the lead to 8-3.

NOTES: The Rangers released RHP Tyson Ross, who was 3-3 with a 7.71 ERA in 12 appearances (10 starts). ... Texas activated 3B Adrian Beltre from the 10-day disabled list. Despite the move, Beltre is unlikely to play again this season as he's recovering from a strained left hamstring. ... Seattle will start James Paxton on Friday at Houston and Erasmo Ramirez on Saturday. The club is undecided on a Sunday starter, which would normally LHP Ariel Miranda's spot. ... Texas manager Jeff Banister was ejected by home-plate umpire Jeff Nelson in the fourth inning for arguing balls and strikes. ... Texas activated RHP Keone Kela (right shoulder soreness) from the disabled list.
