The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) announced Wednesday it launched Mission 2030, a new initiative with an ambitious goal to match its lofty name.

Key Takeaways

  • The IBIA launched a five-year plan, aiming to secure its status as the global standard for sports betting integrity.

  • The mission aims to strengthen monitoring and alerts, expand global partnerships, and increase regulation and education initiatives.

  • The IBIA unveiled a full brand refresh amid a rapidly evolving landscape driven by AI, crypto, and esports growth.

The IBIA unveiled a new five-year strategy to “strengthen its role as the global standard for sports betting integrity.”

“As IBIA marks its 20th anniversary, we are not only reflecting on the past, we are also looking ahead to the future,” IBIA CEO Khalid Ali said in a statement. “Our new strategic roadmap charts how we will continue to deliver best in class integrity services to our members, deepen collaboration with our partners, and successfully confront the challenges and opportunities reshaping our industry.”

The move also comes with a new brand identity, as the organization moves away from its previous green and orange look with bold typeface to a more sleek look, featuring a new logo and a bold yellow refresh.

“To achieve our ambitions, we need to evolve, and that starts with the way we present ourselves,” Ali said. “More than just a visual update, our new brand is a key building block of Mission 2030. It reflects not just who we are today, but where we are heading tomorrow.”

Mission 2030

The IBIA outlined a trio of core objectives for the coming five years, which include “strengthening IBIA’s Global Monitoring & Alert Platform, expanding collaboration by deepening and broadening partnerships across the global sports integrity ecosystem, and advancing prevention through better regulation, effective policy engagement, and player education initiatives.”

The initiative is expected to help guide the organization through what has been a turbulent period of technological advancement, from the explosion of AI to emerging crypto and associated betting markets, as well as the expansion of non-traditional sports such as esports.

“IBIA is evolving to ensure that whatever new trends emerge, we remain ready to safeguard sports, consumers and regulated betting markets,” Ali said.

IBIA's efforts

The initiative continues the IBIA's efforts to serve as a leading figure in the sports betting space.

The organization releases a quarterly publication of suspicious betting alerts, with their latest Q2 report identifying 69 total sports betting alerts, an 8% increase from Q1 and a dramatic 21% increase from Q2 2024.

The organization also partnered with major betting operators such as FanDuel, DraftKings and, more recently, Hard Rock Digital, which announced in March they had joined IBIA’s match-fixing monitoring services.
