WCI - a drink and a puff sounds great right now. I got a long view on Basel and Olympiakos. The latter’s over looked lost, but Greek boys got it going.
HJK +0.5 -107 (21.4 units)
HJK +250 (6 units)
Qarabag-Dundalk over 2, 2.5 +105 (20 units)
Rosenborg -1 -101 (20.2 units)

Starting this thread now in hopes of clearing the mind of all the clutter. Initial reaction to the matches for today and tomorrow is I see a lot of good looking mutts with a 2 handle aligned to their names.
Full disclaimer : I have this belief that it is difficult to make deep runs into the group stage in back to back international competitions and, while it doesn't mean it won't happen, time is running short for it to happen for many of these clubs. I think that puts Qarabag, PAOK Brugge, Red Star, and of course Ajax on the radar for Tuesday and Porto and Basel on center stage for Wednesday. I need to dig in and make sureI have that right.
That certainly is a lot of clubs, and a lot of really good ones too. If theories and historical results hold true this campaign, then some of these sides will be eliminated in this stage, and with the attractive pricing we are seeing for many of their opposition tomorrow and Wednesday, some nibbles might be worth the risk.

Tough sledding last time out, down about 35 units. Second legs are always interesting, chaos will happen.
Rosenborg-Maribor under 2.5, 3 +106 (20 units)
If this was a 2-1 aggregate I’d play this differently, but Rosenborg will tighten things up defensively. A goal by them surely helps, but if they limit Maribor to 2, they’ll move on. Over their last 8 home UCL matches, they are 6-1-1 only allowing five goals across 8 matches. They’ve been ousted by Celtic the last two UCLs, so advancement is a big accomplishment for them, more so than a win.

Going heavy on Kyiv, partially on matchup and partially that Brugge has their run last UCL and I find it hard they come up with what they need on the road here to advance. Kiev hasn’t lost back to back home matches since 2016

Tempted to take OP at -127, they should win, but, again, second legs bring about chaos so not going to fall into an attractive home line against a visiting club who has struggled on the road in 2019. Fees this should be more -150+
Basel +200 (12 units)
Chaos? I think it qualifies

Celtic is tough to beat at home, real tough, so I think the -170ish is priced right. I see a hard fought match here, Cluj has been in good form. 2-1 final

BigD - Classic. And whose going to believe you’re searching for a soccer score.
I’ll get the economics updated once my accountant gets back. He said he was going for coffee for us a few days ago and hasn’t returned. Hope it’s local Nigerian beans, we shall see.
Young Boys +170 (10 units)
Young Boys over 1.5 +102 (10 units)
Wasn’t happy to see this pairing when matches were released because both made runs to the group stage, which gave me no opportunity to fade them both. You don’t go into the Stadion and win very often, most teams struggle, even the big boys. That being said a +135 vs +170 odds on outright wins doesn’t represent the strength of the home field advantage. I’ll say this, with fear of backlash, the Swiss league is better than that of Serbia, so by deduction one can say the best Swiss club is better than the best Serbian side. This can be debated, but I stand by it. For as good as Red Star is at home, Young Boys have scored a goal in 41 of their last 43 non-friendly, non-Cup matches. The two where they didn’t score - @ ManU and @ Juventis. They’ll score today, which I know that won’t equate to a road victory, I’m playing the odds, which to me don’t add up
Rosenborg +165 (10 units)
Playing this sneaky here, mainly because following last seasons debacle where Zagreb missed the group stage, advancement is more important than a win. If Zagreb scores, they can absorb a 2-1 loss and move on with goal differential. A 1-0 home side win offers the same result for Zagreb. Again, play this conservative to advance as oppose to risk another debacle by trying to get an unnecessary three points
