Scalia dead - SCOTUS question

does anyone know any bookmakers that offer a prop bet of whether Obama will or the next President will make the next nomination or a third option of no Justice appointed and the courts leaving the seat vacant? If it were up to me I would choose the third option. Republicans know this seat is a game changer that would flip the court into a more liberal direction for the first time in a generation.

There is no way the conservative Congress and the religious zealots that fuel them that see this President as nothing less than the Anti-Christ himself allow this to happen. Then the question would become would a hypothetical Hillary presidency be allowed to appoint a nominee if Republicans retained both parts of Congress which they most likely will do? I would think that The GOP will just play the long game and make up some excuse for moral expediency to not fill the seat until a hypothetical Republican were to ever win the Presidency if that were to happen.

Any thoughts on this? We could be in the verge of a SCOTUS showdown very shortly and this nominating process will have profound effects for a generation to come.

bet no confirmation easy money Mitch McConnell already stated the voters will have a choice and no "executive" action can get around this . that position will go unfilled until February 2017.

Imagine Obama nominating himself or the biggest law fool and ex governor Deval Patrick?
There should be a few requirements to become a Supreme Court Justice......you actually would be required to practice law and you must pass the Bar Exam on the first try!

It could be worse . Remember Scalia was appointed by a lame duck republican.

only lame duck Republican presidents can nominate Supreme Court Justices.

It's gonna get ugly but Republican senators need to remember that this is an election year ( 29 republican seats are up for re-election)

My condolences to Scalia's family but he should have been dismissed as supreme court justice a while ago.

We have to endure presidents for a maximum of 8 years but those supreme court justices are appointed for life
