Beets: If you happen to read this THIS was the thread I was referring to the other day when I mentioned LeRinkRat, Euler and TDD's comments regarding the decline of the NHL forum - just wanted to mention that since I would have liked to have linked it in our conversation as an example of how others feel
 
LRR: my position is and has been that more intervention is the only way to create a mature posting environment, and it sounds like we share that view.  However, I'm convinced its not going to happen because Covers Staff only ban for clear abuse/bashing and not for immaturity and overzealous homerism which is at the root of the problem IMO...

Homerism is the MAIN problem and reason this is clearly more of a sports FAN site than sports BETTING site
 
I suppose one must accept that they have chosen to follow this mandate for their own reasons and make our own decisions as to whether we want to continue to talk BETTING here in these conditions  ...many have already made the decision to walk and we can only hope to see them again in October...

I'd like to consider myself in-the-know when it comes to things that have gone on at Covers, but I'm not quite sure where the speculation began. It seems that it's believed by some that Geoffrey and Polar are one in the same.

Second time you called me that..If you really need to know name is Rich I live in Toronto and I had my picture up in my avatar for a little while and can be found working the front door of one of Torontos biggest nightclubs so I am not too hard to find. ...cuz if not, I suggest everyone lay off.  The guy was a model poster this season and acted with far greater maturity than most of the newbies on here these days
 
I was wondering why he stopped posting and perhaps now we can see the true reason...

Fair enough Weeble, but why the speculation. Get over it is my point. P_B has been great fun to read in the past months with the Worlds and all other hockey talk around here and still, people are bitching about how he could be a old poster. So what.

Yeah, that was for johnny and was more of a joke, but like everything else it just gets blown out of proportion.  You'll always feel confused when you read other peoples mail - that's why I quoted Johnny.

Elithepunk, I don't have the time to go through it all with you.  It's really none of your concern.  Geoffrey (also a flyers fan) pulled the same crap last year just trying to piss off Pens fans by saying "lock".  A classic shitdisturber. That's where alot of the speculation started. 

And anyone that asks for proof really doesn't get it.  Do you really think their going to admit it?  The best you can do on here is circumstantial evidence and if it piles up high enough, that's the only proof you can ask for.

Problem here is that the mail can be opened by anyone who types in the forum URL in a browser. Not that great of a comparison but I hear ya.

I don't know, probably not, but then I'm not the one accusing him of being someone he claims not to be

I will say that Polar Bear has been a very solid contributor for many months now and perhaps that reperesents "circumstantial evidence" in its own right...

I have a feeling he will be joining us soon to defend HIMSELF...
