Boston seems to have the momentum but they lose a good player here and the adrenaline the bruins had after seeing their guy go down will have cooled off.. will it carry to game 4?
i think boston is the play but ive seen so many teams have a big letdown after winning big like they did..

i am definately going to take the canucks in game 4 and here's why:
1. canucks are the better team
2. i agree with you that boston played with more heart after horton went down but i don't think it will make a difference in game 4.
3. game 3 is over and the canucks got embarrased on the score board but the bruins scored 2 shorthanded goals and 4 goals in the last 5 minutes of the game when vancouver already packed it in.
4. i think this game will be officiated much more closely and even though boston scored 2 shorthanded goals, vancouver will have the advantage if the game comes down to special teams.
5. like i said before, vancouver has far more talent in my opinion and boston just woke them up after last game. guys like burrows, kessler, and even the sedins were involved physically and they won't forget about last game. they will come out with more fire and win this game.

The true score last night was 4-0. The third period was a shit show and you could tell the Vancouver gave up as the Sedins barely played.
For Game 4, I think this really depends on Luongo. How will he react? Did Boston get into his head last night like Chicago did or will he brush it off? I'm confident that Thomas will be consistent, that Boston will continue to hit and get the line match ups they want.
People are brushing off last nights drubbing as just another loss, but losing 8-1 is insane for any team in the SC Finals and especially for Lou who has shown that you can get under his skin.
All I know is I don't know yet who I'm taking, I just want to see more goalies giving body checks!

Stat
to remember for tonight's game. In subsequent playoff games following a
blowout victory of five or more goals since 2003, the winning team is
now 14-6, including three wins this season. Advantage: Bruins.

Seems like Vancouver has had trouble rebounding from poor performances.
Coming off a loss under Alain Vigneault, the Vancouver Canucks are now just 10-12 in Stanley Cup Playoff games since the 2006-07 season.
They are 1-7 in their last 8 games following a loss of 3 or more goals and 0-3 for that stat in these very playoffs. They are facing this again in game 5 as they are once again coming off of a loss of 3 or more goals.
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

Good stuff Polar Bear. Boston has won three straight once and five straight once during this year's playoffs. I like them to win again. Nothing like going home to a belligerent media throng and fans who expected more. Sedin twins mustered only six shots on goal in the two games in Boston, so their confidence level, which is always shaky this time of year, is at a low ebb. Thomas is on top of his game right now, and that makes it worse on the Canucks.
