Asking for a degen
@choiOi
Is Jimmy G going to lead them to the promised land on Sunday? Perhaps but...a few business angles to consider.
Isn't it more in the interests of the NFL for the Rams to create a new fan-base in such a huge market as the LA area (Greater LA area pop. around 19 million)?
Those fancy nuts new stadiums don't come cheap so there is a lot riding on them to do well? What better way to do that then for them to win a championship and not be a disgraceful disappointment?
If the Rams became Superbowl champions wouldn't that be a huge shot of adrenaline for generating fan interest and a following?
How often do NFL business goals mirror on field results...one of the big reasons I bought out of my Superbowl bet last year was that after the Britt Reid accident maiming children, I just knew that KC's championship desires were in jeopardy and sure enough, whenever the Chiefs' O showed any life at all, ref flags rained down from the sky.
Players don't have to be complicit in the fix as long as the refs are doing the bidding of the league office and Roger Goodell.

That is pretty funny! Wish I would have thought of that.
