I think he should have been on the field rooting for his team on, not getting hammered in a suite. I bet his is pretty pissed though, about how his team did so good without him. Shockey is another overpaid bum that whines to much.I bet he won't be talking shit to anyone else in the NY organization or he will be holding his thumb out on the highway for the next team to stop and pick his sorry ass up.
One commenter said it best. Without Shockey in there Eli doesn't force any unnecessary passes or have to be nervous about Shockey bitching at him for not giving him the ball. I really think without Shockey, Eli's confident level went sky high once he got on a roll.
What you guys think? Is Shockey good for team morale or bad?

Yea, I liked Boss playing yesterday. He reminds me a lot of Cooley. They just catch the ball and return back to the huddle without saying a word.
Shockey catches the ball and slams it on a 5 yard gain and starts headbanging. Then gets back to the huddle when everyone has already breaked for the next play.
This guy seems due for a trade for a team that needs a TE nut case.

That Army Lieutenant Colonel who lost both his legs in Iraq has been on the sideline of every Giant playoff game in a fuckin wheelchair (even in freezing ass Green Bay) so for anyone to say shockey should be up in a suite drinking beers is total crap.

Only reason I would believe he was in the suite versus the sideline with his teammates is he must know this is the beginning of the end for him returning as a NY Giant

He doesnt need to stand, he can sit on his broken ass. He is not a franchise TE, he is a distraction and it wont be long before he is on a new team with his constant yapping of the mouth and broken "has-been" body

Bling: Your joking right? It's a broken leg not a spinal cord injury. It will be healed by next season. crutches or wheelchair ? I am sure getting drunk is really going to help him stand up straight.

Phill Simms, in a similar situation, was on the sidelines for the first half in 1990 and then left to go back to the hotel at halftime. I am no shockey fan but I don't see the big deal. Most teams do not want injured players hanging around. They tend to be a distration. That goes with most sports. If a guy has a season ending, or extended period of time, injury they tend to not be around the team. The fact that he was there is good enough for me. The Giants will be a better team with him next year. Boss does not have the physical tools of Shockey. I think Shockey may have been a bit intimidating to manning. His absence may have allowed manning to take charge without having someone question him. I am not in the huddle so I don't know but it just appears that way. Next year manning obviously gets more respect and that may make shockey easier to deal with. We shall see.

honestly? meh. BFD. I dont think much of it. It woulda been bad if he wasnt there at all but injured and in the box?: I think you are trying to make something aoutta nothing.
Yes the Gmen are better with Boss but lets not forget that shockey can PLAY. he's a prima donna but he can play. I am sure Dallas will want him or Maybe Philly. But at the end of the season the Gmen added to their team by subtracting Shockey. Now I think they could parlay him into a nice 3rd round Draft pick but thats fro the Gmen to decide.

First of all just to set the record straight he was not even allowed to travel with the team. Not sure if thats team rules or nfl rules but I know for a fact he was not allowed to travel with them.
Secondly, If I'm the giants and am paying him good money to be my starting te I don't want him near the sidelines because of the risk of injury.
Lastly I think he should have waited on the alcoholic beverages until after the game like the rest of his teammates. He has one more year left I believe and I highly doubt he's a Giant anytime after next year. I see a trade the might help the Giants pick up some draft picks for this years draft. Not sure if anyone would give up a 1st rounder for him but 2nd rounder for sure
