Both teams coming off a physical game on a short week makes ground and pound approach less desirable as players are likely banged up and it could lead to a lot more injuries with such a physical approach on a short week. Both teams have a bad record, but have a chance at the playoffs.. The conservative approach has not helped either team, and I theorize they are going to take more chances with the play calling tonight. The loser will be 1-4, which many see as an early grave to that specific team's season.

Over the past 5 or 6 seasons, the Patriots have only had 3 back to back losses. Typically, after a loss, the Patriots would come back and beat the team by more than 1 score. I believe the Patriots were given a spiritual Earth Quake when they got shut out at home for the first time since 1993. More personally, it was Rex Ryan that did it to Belichick, and thus, I think this game is of a very high significance. The inclusion of having Tom Brady comes back is also a factor that spiritually uplifts the team, however, I think Tom Brady is inconsequential here as they want to bury the ball from last week and set a new tone. Also, Kristine Leahey from Colin Cowherd's show rarely makes picks, but she likes the Patriots (she's kind of like a Lady Luck maybe? find out after the game).
2. The Steelers -9. for 5 Spirit Units Why?
I love it that this line jumped from 7.5 to 9. I believe it's very difficult to mentally and spiritually recover after a game with 6 interceptions, especially against a team as physical and powerful on offense as the Steelers. The taste of Philadelphia is still a good memory in their mind, and thus, I don't expect the Steelers to make many mistakes. Also, looking back over their past 3 seasons, the Steelers were rarely 9 point or double digit favorites, and covered the spread most times they were.
3. The Redskins +4. for 5 spirit Units
why?
I'm going with Colin Cowherd here, because the last 2 weeks that I specifically liked a game that was opposing to his pick, his pick won. Now it happens with the Ravens that I don't imagine they will lose 2 home games in a row, but then I look at the trends covers posted in addition to the trend with Colin Cowherd I mentioned, and am going to take a shot on faith here.
Washington
Redskins are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games.
Over is 6-0 in Redskins last 6 games following a straight up win.
Baltimore
Ravens are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games in Week 5.
Ravens are 2-8-2 ATS in their last 12 games following a straight up loss.

Matt Ryan 500 yard and Julio Jones 300 yard game is such a spiritual uplift while Broncos are on a spiritual down cliff with a hurt QB last week. Although Atlanta is traveling far, and will be in a thinner atmosphere, I believe the -4 made sense if they had their original QB. The momentum hits the Broncos at the right time.

I theorize there is a lot of turmoil for the Giant's passing game right now. They are not being fed, Odell has went all season without a Touch Down, last week Manning was off, and he even publicly called out Odell, sort of like throwing a pass to him through the media. This is the time they will feel the need to throw and throw and throw, especially since Green Bay is tough against the run. Green Bay getting off a bye week is hungry and ready to score some points and do some Lam-beau Leaps, which they will have to because the Giants are going to speed up the tempo of the game and force this to be a battle of offenses, which in the end, should at least Feed the passing game spiritually enough for the Giants that even in a loss, they will have a win, especially with the national spot light on them, regardless of the debate.

Bidasaint & Welderman: Thanks for the comments. The Packers Giants over didn't go so well, but it's one of those games where I feel like I had the right idea on the game, but that doesn't always necessarily mean it will go over the point spread.
Good Luck to both of you, I'm not taking anything on the Monday Night Game.
