We see that Coach O'Connell has selected to stay with Wentz as QB going into this situation that favors him tremendously. Wentz is a night guru, especially on Thursday nights. Wentz is given a chance to bounce back after a game that could have went differently. I always prefer to side with the well motivated team/individual. I'm not big on J.J. McCarthy at all.... People forget, when a young QB comes in and he is the guaranteed future... you play him no matter what. I honestly think he isn't dealing with an injury but just a smoke screen to hide his clear ability of not being the guy.... that way they protect his future.
The situation the vikings were in just this past sunday against the Eagles sent me back to a 2023-2024 home matchup against the chiefs.... Both games have similar vibes to them. Chiefs were defending champs just like the eagles, line odd movement very similar and both games came down to closing minutes. The very next game, we see Kirk cousins bounce back in an environment he was just starting to heat up in and that is meetings with the Chicago Bears. He ended up having a fair game and winning as well.
I really like this game after leaning the vikings all week. They are in a spot we only get every so often. Wouldn't be surprised if they won outright but always play it smart.
