56.5- that's the biggest O/U I've seen in a long, long time. However, a big chunk of me feels that 57 points in this game is a very attainable number.
I think the O/U is largely going to depend on how well the Colts D plays against the Pats O. I think the Colts' success on D will be limited. This may be an uneven comparison, but I feel like if a pretty damn good Redskins D got carved up the way they were carved up by the Pats, then the Colts could be in trouble.
That being said, I've heard people say that the Colts will run the ball down the Pats' throats. Well, you can run the ball all you want, but if you can't stop the other team & have got to start playing catchup, then you're going to have to think pass-first, run-second. We all know that Peyton can sling passes w/ the best of them, with or without Marvin Harrison catching them.
We all know that the Pats are running up the score on teams like they were trying to get a #1 ranking in the BCS. I see no reason why, if they get a big lead, they'll deviate from the course this week. I don't believe that the Colts would run up the score on the Pats- but I can't see the Colts in a position to even be able to do so.
Lastly, the Colts play on turf, right? As I'm primarily an over player, I wish EVERY NFL team played on turf.
With all that being said, I like the Pats & the OVER on Sunday. While I plan on playing the OVER, I'm not going to be touching the Pats, as I've sworn off road chalk in *all* sports, despite what my numbers tell me.

I think this one will be under, conservative on both sides, each team feeling each other out, not wanting to give anything away because they will probably meet again in January.

Be careful playing the over here. Looks obvious but the roles have been reversed. NE use to beat the Colts ugly with ball control. For the Colts to beat NE they have to have long time consuming drives for a TD. Keeping the NE offense off the field. No one runs the play clock to 1 and snaps better than Manning. A lot of running and short check down passes.
Colts have been working on this all year. Remeber the Tampa Bay game when the Colts dominated time of possesion and had the ball 13 minutes in the 3rd quarter.
