Jimmy G signs with Vegas!

Hmmmm are they any better off with him than Carr? What will they do now with the 7th overall pick? They have obviously been brutal at drafting forever thinking they know more than everyone else. Lets see how they can fuk this draft?

They replace one turnover prone QB with another....

They get Garopolo on a cheaper deal than they would have to pay for Carr but more injury prone than Carr so that's the compromise they will have to settle for. I guess it's worth a try 

Not looking at stats but does Jimmy throw less picks?? He might be better fit if they go run heavy with jacobs and say "here Jimmy don't turn it over"

Jimmy has 85 less starts compared to Carr so if we were to project it would be pretty similar to Carr's stats. Carr has 99 INTs thru 142 starts, Jimmy has 42 INTs thru 57 starts. Give him 85 more games and he could possibly throw another 40 to 50 INTs if he averages 8 per year in a season where he plays 10+ games. 

Waller to the Giants for the 100th pick overall in the upcoming draft? Seriously that's all?

Jacobi Meyers 3 year 33 million contract? WTF are we doing becoming the Las Vegas Patriots. 

Decent receiver but we need so much help on defense. 

McDummy is by far the most hated coach ever. I haven't seen one positive comment made towards him and we ate stuck with this useless tool.

Waller is 30 years old and had been hurt a lot in his career...dude was hurt all over last year..Great move by the Raiders dumping his contract....

I agree with this.  $11.8 million isn't that much, but it's a lot for a 30 yr old guy that could easily spend half the season injured.  If Vegas was setting a totals line for the number of games he plays in this year, they'd prolly put it at 7.5.  Is the guy worth more than a million bucks per game?  Probably not.

The stats say Garoppolo is better.  The first figures are their careers ratings as listed at Pro Football Reference.  The second figures are my career Passing Power Indices.

DC   91.8   6.11

JG   99.6   7.06

7.06/6.11 = 1.15548, which means that JG is about 15.5% more efficient at moving the ball down the field without throwing INTs.  My PPI doesn't factor in rushing ability and sacks.

Fwiw, Jimmy G finished #1 in dvoa at 30.4% last season, only playing in 11 games(10 starts). But, his qbr was 54.4 which was 16th in the league. 

Carr finished #19 in dvoa at 2.1%, and had a 55.5 qbr for 14th.

Jimmy G's pff rating is 71.4

Carr's pff rating is 66.6

So who's ratings do we trust? Qbr says they're the same. Dvoa shows a drastic difference. Pff shows a 6 pt difference.

Qbr is an out dated rating imo. 

Raiders and 49ers are apples to oranges...You put Carr on the 49ers with the talent they had on the offense and defensive side the last 3 years...Carr would have done just as good if not better.  49ers have one of the best OL and Running games ...and they have been a top 5 defense if not top defense the last 3 years... I mean..49ers can just plug in Mr. Irrelevant and he did better than Jimmy...Purdy is nothing special.. but when you have the talent that the 49ers had, its not the same as the Raiders..

I read somewhere that Carr never had a top 20 defense while he was with the Raiders...Lots of dysfunction with the Raiders last few years...with the Gruden scandal.....then Ruggs Killing someone while driving intoxicated....and all the top draft picks they messed up on..

No we get to see Jimmy on a average team that has to carry and elevate players where on the 49ers he just had to manage the game and make an occasional play.. Carr's deep passing game in vastly superior to Jimmy.. However Jimmy has a better short passing game than Carr..

The upcoming season is shaping up to be interesting, and so will be Rodgers' performance in New York.

In Denver hes known as McDouchebag..terrible coach and players hated/disrespected like none other. GOOD LUCK with that P.O.S..he's worst than Hackett and he really sucked...

 Dave you are 100% correct, Raiders Oline used to be good but they dismantled that as well. No comparison between the two. 

These castoff QBs are passed around from team to team like hoochie Mamas. Even teams that draft promising QBs also feel the need to have some of these underachieving grifters as backups and many when called upon deliver mediocre performances and yet are paid well. 

My brother in law has a particular Jones for Mitch Trubisky ...that guy gives off the wrong kind of vibes and yet he makes 7 million per with incentives. I wouldn't hire Trubisky to run a hotdog stand.
