Jets run D did a great job on Doug Martin. Martin's only decent runs came with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. I also like the Jets O-line- they gave Geno time to throw and Bilal Powell and Chris Ivory should be able to run behind them against the Pats.
That being said, the Jets were not amazing against the pass. Mike Williams and Vincent Jackson had decent games. Brady should have a decent game. I am taking Jets +13. GL

I usually love to take the double digit dog against the Pats but I think Tom and company gets it done here. I expect a big letdown from Geno Smith and a Pats team that is running 90+ snaps a game to get it done.

Like your points..... Think a let down is deff a worry for jets on the road...
Do you think the Pats will run 90 snaps with guys who haven't been practicing together?...
At least 2 guys will be moving from 2nd offense in practice to first.. only there is no practice this week, only walkthroughs.... Just think Rex dusting off his old "Brady Beater" schemes on D will be more effective than the "well oiled Patriots Offense" we have come 2 expect ... Jus my 2 cents

I see Brady having 3 turnovers in this game jets d is gonna get after him. He doesn't have any reliable targets he's throwing to. It's a bunch of no names. I really don't see the pats winning by more then 13. It's gonna be a 1 score game. Jets are gonna play conservative. and chris ivory will be able to run on the pats defense unlike the bucs game..

The line is funny on this game because it has you saying "I know the jets are bad but are they -11 bad?" Few key points to look at though:
1) All the bucs penalties- The bucs shot themselves in the foot with penalties this entire game. Even before the penalty at the end of the game which gave the jets the win, they were an absolute mess. The patriots will not commit these silly mistakes.
2) Geno Smith/ Chris Ivory- I wasnt impressed at all with either of them. This offense will be lucky to score over 20 points one game this season. Also a point having been made a lot in other threads is how we now know what kind of play geno smith is, we have tape on him and the pats will study this.
3) Tom Brady- This guy can put you away by himself and it really doesnt matter who hes throwing to. I expect the week 1 jitters to be gone and his receivers will step up big. Edelman is underrated in my book anyways.
In the end, im going with the patriots. This is a tough game either way but i trust tom brady to get the job done against a good defense before i trust geno smith to score against a mediocre defense.
