Help , my two team pending teaser has been cancelled

I had GB - 2.5 winner with NYG + 8.5 ( game has been reschduled for tomorrow ) I go on my account just now and see the bet has been graded as no action.

I guess it's cause the G MEN game was rescheduled but this seems ridiculous..............anyone know exactly what the rule is ?

It was a two team 6 point teaser so essentially I had an even money bet on the Giants + 8.5...........I smell bullshit.

Read the rules of your book...

My book is In instances where a teaser is reduced to a one team teaser due to games being postponed or completely canceled, the player will be permitted to choose replacements for the canceled selections.

You aren't going to get an even money bet on Giants +8.5 though

That's generally how it goes with books if games are rescheduled or canceled etc, you push basically and it doesn't cost you anything but does however screw you if you had hit 2 out of 3 team parley for example but that's generally the rules for most books. Sorry to hear

Pure bullshit, I haven't played a teaser in over a decade so I don't know the rules on how books grade a situation like this.  Don't worry, take the Giants ML large tomorrow and make it up.  I've waited three weeks to push on this perfect spot for them.

The gambling industry isn't run the boy scouts.   It's run by bottom fish who make up the rules as they go along.   I bet if GB had lost, it would be graded a loss, not no action.  I've had deals like this before.   I bet a superbowl prop one year that there would be a defensive score and when a safety took place they said that didn't count.   They graded it a loss, but now at least specify when you make the play that safeties don't count.  I always thought a safety was a score by the defense.   These type guys get off on thinking they're so clever as they come up with ways to fuck the players.  If something unexpected occurs they'll fuck you everytime.  Like I said, it ain't run by the boy scouts.    Far from it.

One thing you might want to do if you're a credit player and don't need the funds in your account is bet the giants on a teaser again, an open teaser and wait to fill in the second game when you feel like it.  My book let's you wait forever on that kind of move.   The fact they cancelled on you might be some kind of "tell."

LOL, dude how does that even remotely help me make up for what has happened here ? I can do what you describe anytime. If I use your logic and I win it's the same thing as hitting a 3 team teaser but only getting paid for a two teamer.

You think if the book thought your thousand dollar wager was going to lose they would have cancelled you out?   Covers is the home of the wise guy thinking vegas runs everything anyway, and my thinking is along those lines.

Not sure what you are complaining about. In a teaser you are getting extra points and have to win both to win. A win and a push makes the teaser a push, and since the game was cancelled it is a push. Your statemant that you should have Giants at even money is a joke, I wish we could all bet games at even money with 6 extra points. In a parlay with regular points you would be correct and you would get even money if you won the first part of a parlay and the other game got cancelled, but never on a teaser. And, yes, if the other side had lost it would have been graded a loser. Why wouldn't it? You lost half a bet that has to have two winners which would have made the Giants game meaningless in that case. I love 2 team teasers in the NFL but you have nothing whatsoever to comlain about here.

The internet sites may have agents, perhaps that's what you call a local, but that printout you displayed didn't come from a neigherhood local book.

The Giants game wasn't cancelled.   That's where your defense of the books falls apart.   Do you think everyone who bet the giants game straight before it was delayed till tomorrow now has a no action for that play?   Those bets are in.

Right. The printout is not from a local neighborhood bookie, its from a website. The website is just like any online sportsbook, but instead of paying or collecting from the website, you're paying or collecting from your local neighborhood bookie. The website is just to collect and process "data" or your wagers basically.

And the decisionb to queer his bet was not made by his local but by that internet site.   Whether it is Pinacle, which was the question leading to this particular discussion, or some other internet site, the nullfying of the bet wasn't made by a local dude.

Yeah, I understand the game is still being played, but not on the scheduled day as when the bet was placed. That cancels all bets whether they are in a teaser or straight bets. It's like that with any event whether you bet online or in Vegas.  Anybody who wants to have action on their straight bets need to rebet. Teaser players are screwed and get pushes as in this case. Happened to me last year on the Eagle-Viking game that got moved to Tuesday night. Of course, people who had game in a pending parlay get a win on parlay, just a lesser payout. A four teamer would get paid as a three teamer, or a 3 teamer would get paid as a two teamer, or in his case a two teamer would be paid even money with the win and a push/cancel. It can suck but I know alot of people who had Eagles last year tied up with a bunch of teasers and got pushes when the game didn't play that Monday night and were all complaining, until the Vikings upset the Eagles on Tuesday and they were thankful the bets were all cancelled instead of being losses. It can work both ways.

Well I stand corrected on that point then.   But I'll tell you this, when I bet that superbowl prop that there'd be a defensive score and the fuckers told me a safety wasn't a defensive score there was no rule at the time on that situation.   And we all know a safety is a defensive score, and I was plenty pissed they called it a loss.  If it had been part of the rules before my bet (which it now is) I'd have no beef.   As it is, I learned this industry ain't run by boys scouts.  Not by a long shot.

I actually had a baseball bet with a Cantor property that was delayed a day due to weather and I had to rebet the game as the bet was "cancelled" on my ticket.  It was a straight bet and not defending what they did, but if Cantor chooses to handle the play like that, it stands to reason that a local would treat it in a similar fashion.
