This was my favorite value pick first round…i like this kid a lot and was worth the 1st round. I thought Broncos might snag him, might prove to be a mistake.
Very similar style to Javonte Williams a fellow alum and Tar Heel. Devastating injury as he was reaching his potential. Same size, bowling ball running down hill..can catch, block, has a motor for contact.
Omarion Hampton, LAC has a bright future and high ceiling..

I hope so. He's a fine player and I think he's going to thrive in the Chargers offense, but I simply didn't like the way the board fell for the Chargers
I read 2 things -- Hampton was the last player in the Charger 1st rd cluster available by the time their pick came around. And the Chargers and Eagles practically had a deal in place to swap picks but there was a comms issue and the trade couldn't be submitted in time. The Eagles basically were going to trade that high to grab Jihad Campbell. It worked out well for the Eagles as they ended up with a better deal. Probably worked out well for the Chargers too, as I doubt Hampton would've been there with the last pick in Rd 1.
