I'm going to give you all a breakdown on what to expect from the players entering this years draft.
For now I will give you a few guys to watch, players who are " cant misses " and some of the under the radar guys who will be very successful at the next level.
BTW.... any of you who have followed me through the years in the college football forum know I kept pumping a guy up named " Robert Griffin III ". Yeah, that guy turned out pretty good I think.
Here are a few guys who IMO are cant miss guys at the next level... Not my entire list. But a few. ( notice Mr. Luck is not on my list. I will get into later on why I think he may be a tad overrated. )
This is not the entire list... But guys IMO who will have a long successful NFL Career ( NO particular order)
Justin Blackmon David Decastro Kendal Wright Micheal Floyd Dwayne Allen Dontari Poe Vinny Curry Billy Winn Lavonte David Robert Griffin III Case Keenum Matt Kalil Morris Claiborn Melvin Ingram Luke Kuechly Isaiah Pead Mark Barron Orson Charles Eric Page
I dont care what draft experts say.... I know and trust what I see.

pead in the right system will flourish, i love that kid as a sleeper
kuechly is a lock for a solid if not spectacular career barring unforseen injuries of course, as well as decastro and kalil.
shows how good kendall wright is when scouts see him run 4.6 and say who cares hes faster than that...thats a big complement. thinking he may turn out to be best wr in draft, marvin harrison potential.

Keenum I'm not sold on..........have seen too many qb's outta systems like that that just don't make it in the pro's.
I like Chris Polk's chances............maybe a bit of homerism but the kid runs downhill, can catch outta the backfield, & at 215-220 can take some pounding........... things NFL teams love.Reminds me a bit of Ray Rice. Not saying he'll be a star but I can see him playing for a few years.

I PROMISE YOU THAT RG3 WILL BE A AVERAGE QB AND A BUST FOR ALL THE HYPE ... WE WILL SEE .. BUT I DONT THINK HE IS GONNA MAKE IT .. WILL HAVE A VERY SHORT NFL CAREER ESP IF HE GETS DRAFTED BY THE REDSKINS ..JUST IMO

Pead is a solid running back. The Guy WILL put up numbers at the next level. Good Work ethic, solid toughness and overall a pretty sharp guy.

Whats up mugg. I will do a write up on keenum.
About Polk. You know him better than me. Am I judging the guy right by saying he overall speed may be a factor? The guy is, like you say, a tough 215lb back who cant " carry the load ". I envision him playing at the next level as a third down type back for a few reasons. Good tough runner on short yardage and he has very above average hands for a Back.

I think most of the world is looking at the QB's in this draft and saying that Luck and Griffin are the two best QB's. Not me. Sorry. I actually believe that Keenum is " Drew Brees " made over. Most QB's in the NFL have to fit a " prototype image " You know, 6' 4 or so. Very few guys ever make it as NFL QB's who are 6' 1 or smaller. Except the great ones. IMO, Keenum is just that.
I dont care what what Mel kiper or Mcshay tell you about what the NFL looks for in a QB. The truth is this. It takes three things to become a successful QB. 1) Accuracy and arm strength, if you dont have it you wont be playing on Sundays. 2) Smarts!! Any good QB must be able to break down the defense and most importantly, process information very quickly. Why? NFL blitz schemes are much more complicated at the next level. 3) The most important trait for any QB at any level but definitely at the Pro level is.... The will to lay it all on the line. The guy who has something in him that makes his insides hurt when he loses. Someone who take no prisoners or shows no mercy. The guy you would take to a fight with you.

I love me some Decastro. Best o-line prospect in the draft and it not even debatable.
Boom I always respect opinion but you label RGIII as can't miss? IMO he's the 3rd best qb prospect in the draft. Luck is clearly 1 and if Weeden was 5 years younger he would be in the discussion for number 1 pick in the entire draft. If Barkley declared he also is the better prospect. To me Griffin is Sean King all over again. A guy who goes 2 rounds higher than he should. As expected he killed it at the combine. He will be a serviceable pro but never a guy who will get you over the hump and he will eventually fizzle out after a few seasons.

How can you PUT this much (if your Indy) They are missing so many pieces, they could have traded down and had a chance to compete NEXT year... Colts are making a HUGE MISTAKE!!
TRADE DOWN, GET 6 PICKS FOR #1, AND COMPETE NEXT YEAR, NOT IN 3 OR 4 YEARS!!!
HOUSE ON LUCK = BAD DECISION..NFL WILL CHEW HIM UP (B/C HIGH EXPECTATIONS AND SPIT HIM OUT!!!

So Case Keenum is a can't miss and Andrew Luck isn't. You, sir, IMHO are nuts.

IMO. Keenum is all of those things and more.
My scouting report says:
1) RG3 2) Keenum 3 ) Luck
I've been right & wrong with my predictions on qb's. All 3 could turn out to be excellent pro's. I've seen a lot more of Luck than I have of RG3 or Keenum. To me Luck has all the tools + the poise the other 2 don't have. The guy knows how to run an offense. Griffin may turn out to be the most electric..........Keenum perhaps the more prolific passer.............I see Luck being a winner.

If SOMEHOW RGIII gets to 3, I pray MN takes him. Figure it out later. If not, they better NOT get cute. Just take Kalil and move along.
You can find secondary and receiver help in later rounds. Don't F around with the left tackle position. There is a reason Ponder got killed. Kalil would change the whole complexion of that offensive line.

And I do like Floyd. He's got some Fitzgerald and Sidney Rice in him in terms of style and the type of receiver they are. Not super fast, but good hands, good body control, and generally money when it's a jump ball.

I think Luck is a great guy and an excellent football player. But the thing I see with Luck is, he has had a terrific offensive line to play behind. Also, I think the style of offense Stanford runs really protects the QB.
I have had the privilege to watch all three guys a lot this past year. All three are great.
You know whats funny is i actually seen a magazine where they were ranking the top 20 QB's entering the draft and they had keenum at 15...... I started laughing hysterically and actually through the magazine in the trash. It really surprises me just how bad some writers are at this shit.

I hear ya. But I cant see any scenario where RG3 doesnt go 2.
Hear is what will happen. S.t Louis will trade the pick away. no question about it. I think Washington or Cleveland moves up and makes a deal with the Rams.
If Im Minnesota im going after the big tackle from USC

I think Blackmon is the best WR coming out since Calvin Johnson

IT WILL LOOK THAT WAY BECAUSE HIS TE SUCKS!!! HE IS GOOD THE COLTS ARE GONNA SUCK FOR TEH NEXT 5 YEARS!!!
BLACKMON IS THE SAFEST BET!! HE CAN TAKE A GOOD TEAM TO THE NEXT LEVEL!! HE WILL MAKE THE 3RD PICK VERY INTERESTING, BECAUSE HE WILL START!!!! SO WILL LUCK BUT HE WILL GO 4-12!! BLACKMON WILL CATCH A 3 BALLS A GAME.

you know whats funny about shit like that? The first sentence says Keenum has struggled to prove he can be a NFL QB.... really??? Cause We havent even seen the kid take a snap at the next level yet.
I guess those guys know what there talking about because they were the same people who said Jamarcus Russel would be a great NFL QB.
As I have said many times before. I trust my eye's
