no one would go to the bobcats in the first place now he would have to pay a free agent worth 9 million per year 15 million just to get him to sign there and it would only be a money hungry dud who would quit on the team after getting his guaranteed money and didnt care about playoffs let alone a championship

Jordan's a sellout. Plain and simple.

I think you guys don't really have a clue. Explain how teams that are losing money because of outrageous salaries, lower attendance, less advertisment deal are greedy?
Should teams still play Joe Johnson type players $20 million a year?
Jordan is a sellout is a comment made by a moron. Go check and see what Jordan made in his ENTIRE career, then see what someone like Rashard Lewis has made and then say he's a sell out or greedy.
If you guys agree with the players, then you should be rooting for the NBA to retract to 8 teams that are making a profit because the other 22 teams just can't exisit with the current structure.
It's not a coicidence that the NBA was most profitable in the 80's and 90's.

I haven't followed the NBA drama since....well, since ever - but I've heard a bit about it. A few questions:
Do the players have their own individual contracts with their respective teams?
If yes, then isn't that considered their salary?
The amount of money in question (to be split); is that money that the NBA players actually worked for and earned?
If no, then why do they want a share of it?
