I've got the Pacers +350 to win the East and the Knicks +130 to win the series as a hedge. Teams in the Knicks' situation losing their first two at home have gone 39-26 straight up in game 3 on the road and 6-59 in their overall series in the conference finals.
This team is totally discombobulated and will second guess themselves on who they should actually have on the floor....are they gonna play Towns and Hart or give up on them?
Think they will fire Thibs after the season....a very good article was written that their 5 starters together have actually played worse together on a plus/minus basis than playing at least one sub throughout the playoffs and previous to that in the regular season they weren't very good either.....that should have been figured out four months ago. They are not going to beat the Pacers playing 6.5 guys, while Indiana's thoroughbreds are busy running the Knicks into the ground, but of course Thibodeau will not change his M.O. now.
However, they will bring their very best effort in game 3, and as we've seen, the Pacers are Supermen on the road, and less than that at home, and the Knicks have also played much better on the road.
I can't trust the Knicks now to close a game out, but will play them in the first half in game 3.
